*KOMPA MAGAZINE: As you are aware...just like you said, it seems that UPTEMPO SONGS have taken a BACK SEAT to COMPAS LOVE...or more significantly...GOUYAD in the HMI market. What are your thoughts on that?
FANFAN TI BOT: "It takes a certain energy and state of mind to play the uptempo and also a very good guitar player. Guitar playing has taken a back seat too . Now it's keyboard taking over all the songs."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: LA JEUNESSE is riding that GOUYAD WAVE like there's no tmrw.....is that a reflection that the top compas bands in the market today have FAILED to do the job in upholding the legacy of our beloved COMPAS DIRECT....or does the blame lie elsewhere?
FANFAN TI BOT: "It has to do with the computer age. It started in Martinique and Guadeloupe as you know... we copy everything. The Puerto Ricans never abandon their salsa. They play reggaeton and all sorts of music... but salsa is still the king. Dominicans play Bachata, but they still play merengue also. Konpa is the commercial music of Haiti and must be protected by all means. You lose your music you lose your culture."
