...but compas as a whole. So get over it stop foolling this generation with style that is older than RORO hehehe
Once again Kunta is here to try to make since of out of all “I did it before he did” BS going on in HMI. HMI evolves around the guitar. The guitar loop swing/groove is as old as compass itself. You can hear same loop in TI CAROLE by NEMOURS JN BAPTISTE. During the MINI-JAZZ era, the guitar took the forefront as primary solo instrument along side the sax. If you are a guitarist, the best place to learn how to work a konpa swing is by learning from the Mini-jazz style. A lot of the swing you hear are not new like the T-VICE and DJAKOUT swing making my eyes and ears hurt on km.
“La tulipe” by Les Gypsies de PV and “Pote Bale” by Les Dificilles has the same concept of swing, but with a slight different melody. This is the same concept that got Vanilla Ice in trouble with QUEEN and DAVID BOWIE’s “Under Pressure” mixing the loop for “Ice Ice Baby”. The melody was change, but the concept and idea still got him to pay royalty to QUEEN and DAVID BOWIE after a long court battle. What you are going to hear is the same concept, same idea, but slight variation in melody. You will hear the guitar repeating the same note over and over (loop), but different percussion melody. Remember the guitar is what amplified the swing.
First part id "pote Bale" dificilles, "La Tulipe" gypsies, and "8eme anniversaire" DP.

Djakout swings can be found all over any old school band tracks. What djakout is doing is nothing new. The swing is old. It is just a different mix with a different percussion. The guitar swing is the same old Compas swing. _________________ OU VLE LAVE LAJAN, LAGE L NAN MAYTAG LA

Now this is for the DJAKOUT fans: This is from original VOLE PONPE band of HMI. This is the COMPAS ending of Carnival ZOMBI (1983). This song fits the mentality of my generation. "GADE YON LA PAIN, GADE YO SEZISMAN...OU KONEN M SEZI!!!" Just listen to Eddie Woolly on the guitar. Let me remind you guys that Eddie played a string instrument, not a progamable instrument pretending the band is throwing some guitar groov when it is from a machine. USE A REAL GUITAR than BRAG about at least!
