KLASS fans...here you go.

We spoke to maestro RICHIE yesterday, and to those of you that might have feared that KLASS would try and leave behind their formula in order to follow the current trend....Here is your response below.

We told the maestro that SLOW TEMPO SONGS seems to be the style that's been in vogue (a la mode) in the HMI these days in terms of major hits; so we wondered if he would reflect that on KLASS' upcoming CD. This is what he told us.

RICHIE: "No doubt that right now that seems to be the trend, but it is very important for a CD to have BALANCE in terms of the different styles of songs that are on there when it comes to tempo. We did that with our first CD, and we are going to continue the same formula on the next one. YOU DON'T CHANGE A FORMULA THAT'S WORKING."

PS: On another front...so far my tune "BAN MWEN LOVE" seems to have survived the cut this time around...after being edged out off the first Klass CD. MWEN TA SWETE KE MAESTRO A KO N SAK BON POU LI.....by keeping it on the CD this time around. No last minute changes with THAT song please. AYA!

PIPO RETURNS WITH 1 OF THE INGREDIENTS THAT.................

Read me again between the lines Mr PR wannabe and you will get it.

As a matter fact, let me help you since I have time to kill: tell me one song in the last Klass CD where they took a risk bringing something different like Harmonik did in their second album or your nemesis Nulook did with Busted?

The only "bagay neuf" Klass brought to the HMI has nothing to do with music. It is the high class they exhibit in their operations (discipline, dress code, marketing, team work) which is worthy of high praise.

Music wise...min'm pinpimp la....Freres Dejean <____> System Band, Top Vice<___>Tvice, Nulook <____> Disip, Zenglen <____>Klass (Zenglen Reloaded). In that list only Tvice is the out-liner and exempt of the suffix reloaded..There you have it Mr Smart ass...just messing with you Shah D'Iran when it comes to your heart and soul Klass...here also worthy of high praise (I passed that age to be a fanatic of anything or anybody). I love the HMI as a whole, always will.

Pa vin'n bay "dilatoire" nan sam posté'a !!! Mét granmoun sou ou ti papa!!!
ap vin'n revéyé HappyMax sous niche li......lol

@Happymax,

in order to response to your frustrated comments, I had to take a deep breath to simply epitomize your thought process. I am not sure where I claim to be a PR for Klass. I am pretty sure that you are not a Zenglen PR WANNABE either. So let's focus for a hot minute on the post and the questions that have been raised here regarding Klass next CD.

Last time I checked if one has a preference for something, there is no age limit to express your territorial emotions. And second, FYI, only science can claim something new under the sun. Our Konpa music was invented By Nemours Jean Baptiste for the dancing pleasure of our people because he was tired of seeing Haitian people go to clubs and enjoying imported music.

Time will come and go but the basic principles of that music genre, will stay the same. The musicians of the French Caribbean can call it Zouk all they want it's because they play it at a slower tempo. It's still Konpa Direk.

So to conclude, I would suggest that you accept Klass for who they are but not for what you like them to be. If the formula that Klass has used on their first CD worked for them, let it be, don't intentionally bring Zenglen into it because Richie has moved on.

BTW, I am a very fair individual. I may not agree with your point of views but I will not call you and anyone else names here. I grew out of this a long time ago. We are Haitian brothers for life. Peace my brother.

I like your rebuttal angle (a smart one in the like of "we agree to disagree". Kompa and the HMI will not evolve past what Nemours invented 60 years ago

Just re-read for my own sanity this laFontaine fable: La Laitière et le Pot au Lait.

Adieu Veau, Vache, Cochon, Couvée: If we are waiting for Kompa to expand/cross-over. Meanwhile the numbers are going down in all aspects of the business

Peace too my brother, we are Haitians for life indeed.
