When is the best time to remind your significant other of how beautiful she really is? If you guessed the month of October; you’ve guessed right. You never need a reason or an occasion to utter such words of encouragement to the leading lady in your life and that’s the message DOLA MIZIK’s new single “You’re so Beautiful”, conveys. This beautiful love ballad will serve as a reminder to all of the gentlemen out there that showing love and appreciation shouldn’t only be a holiday occurrence.
“You’re so Beautiful is the first of many tracks you will hear from the New York based Konpa Music band, Dola Mizik. The band is taking a new approach on how they release their music in the near future. The next DOLA MIZIK album will not be released as a unit; it will be broken down and the tracks will be released individually throughout a four months period.

In addition, each track released in the next four months will be accompanied with its video. The video to You’re so Beautiful will be released next month.

Average song at best. Dola could have done better.
The song is nicely produced, but, a big but, it is just not memorable. Sounds more like a JBeatz song to me.
Lyrics are also corny and average, and have been said millions of times, but better. Song is light, not much in it.
This is coming from a Dola fan, who listened to Pa Kritike and thought it was an outstanding song.
When will these guys learn to write better? You can feel the sexism in the lyrics, the patriarchal style of the lyrics too. The song is called "You are beautiful" then why is it about the man's reaction to the beauty and not the beauty itself? The song does not empower women at all, it just tells them you are beautiful because you satisfy the man's perception of beauty.
A refaire! Go think positively guys! Get the crap out of here.
I have listening to two bands lately: Tabou Combo and freaking KompaSOUL. |
