DOLA MIZIK maestro JEAN MAX VALCOURT spoke to us about the strategy that the group plans to put into place about releasing SINGLES INSTEAD OF A FULL CD as mentioned on their press release this week.



*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Jean Max....why go with the new SINGLES strategy?
JEAN MAX VALCOURT: "Different reasons... For us, as a band that has been silenced for a while, we don't wanna have the fans waiting too long until the full album drops...

Releasing a new single on a 3 or 4 months basis will keep the band always fresh and more relevant in the public eyes and ears... No songs will go unnoticed like it happens in most albums... And also because CD sale have declined tremendously...

I believe what the public needs is for us bands and artists to provide them with new products as often as we can...Releasing a single and waiting a whole year for an album to drop just don't cut it...This method has been successfully applied for decades in other music industries, why not us."

I approve this method but the band just gotta hope these singles are good enough to get them going

I like this Approach...
It will be a lot more Benefecial to Bands like Dola who are not as Active as they should be.
At least, they will remain Relevant on the Airwaves
