KM asked MICKAEL GUIRAND the following question below.



*KOMPA MAGAZINE: With Carimi heading to the parkway today....tell us and the fans...what does it do or bring for a band....any band....to come out on the parkway? With lots of money being spent by the bands....why is it worth it?

MICKAEL: "This is not about the bands, this is about representing Haiti on the parkway. Fans fly from all over to NY on labor day and a lot of people are gonna be there. We (the bands) have a responsibility to have a good representation, and we always support one another whoever comes out.

We Carimi always come out every 2 years so we decided to make it happen. It wasn't easy to put all the money together with the Sponsors and all but I must tell you that we did it this year. We have a lot of key people to thank.. The float is ready... we about to head down... let's hope all goes well.
