I am sure by now everyone is aware of the struggles of our brothers and sisters in the Dominican Republic. They way they have been slaughtered, beaten like animals on a daily basis. It's heart wrenching watching these videos on the internet. As a concerned citizen, I would like to know why any of our so called leaders in the Haitian Community are not standing up for our people? Why I do not see any of our Artists/Stars doing anything about it even on social media? Why this is not a trending on social media?

Last year around this time on Facebook, many Haitian artists were doing the ELS challenge for example Roberto Martino, Arly Lariviere to name a few and many of them were posting on their social media #IAMCHARLIE. Now, with the situation in DR....Why I do not see those same artists/leaders posting #IAMHAITIAN or some sort of trends to create buzz or awareness to the world that Haitians have a voice too?

We preached about "L'Union Fait La Force" but where is the "Union" when we all divide? It seems like most of us only care about our pockets but not the struggles. The funny thing about that, if WE fix the struggles we will have more in our pockets. Why Haitians always like to follow other people's trending but not their own? If those so called leaders/Artists/promoters in our community really love Haiti and care about our people, I would like to see for them to organize some sort of march in every State to raise their voice to the world to help our brothers and sisters in the Dominican Republic. I am sorry if I offend anyone but "If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything". God bless!!!!!

Great points. But let me just say you're preaching in the desert. The way they're probably looking at it, that's 200k more people they could squeeze money from when they go on tour.

*Jean Aris Well done!
Amid all that.. WHERE IS OBAMA? The friggin so called leader of the free world? Never mind that those puppets on strings in haiti called government don't have the balls to stand up and vigorously defend our brothers and sisters.. But I haven't heard jack come out of POTUS on this situation!
Makes you wonder.. All he wants to do is to have a great relation with Cuba and Castro the second!

*Linda Lambert I certainly agree! What have we done with the courage, pride and dignity that our ancestors have left us? How can we sit idle, while the Dominicans are torturing, lynching other Haitians? Now they're ready to deport 250,000, solely based on the color of their skin, while keeping the braceros as slaves to work on their sugar cane plantations. This is an outrage! I wouldn't be surprised if one of the bands in the HMI would perform over there at this time or in the near future.
