Are NYC fans MERCILESS "SAN PITIE" for new/upcoming bands when performing LIVE compared to other fans from other markets? According to a musician in a VETERAN BAND......YES SIR!
The musician who did not want to reveal his name (He is a BAN DEVAN MEMBER of an established band) told me this.
MUSICIAN: "NY fans have no patience/tolerance for new/upcoming bands when the group is playing a party with an established or well known band. I witnessed that not too long ago, and it basically reinforced what I thought because it happened to me a couple of times when I was part of new/upcoming bands...when playing in NY. I have also actually played in front of other crowds in Miami, Boston, and elsewhere, and I have to tell you that they are not as merciless as the NY fans. NYC fans only care about the headliners if a party is happening with an upcoming new band. It's like they say that they don't want a new band to waste their time and their money. SI NOUVEAU JAZ KI AL JWE NYC DEVAN PUBLIC SA...SI YO PA BON OU PA GIN GNB....PUBLIC NY LA AP KOURI AVEK OU!
I will give you a perfect example. X-TASSY does not have that problem when playing in Miami. The crowd lots them play and watches them, even if they are playing with more popular bands that the fans might be there to see. In NY, the only thing that can save you and make these fans at least try to give you a chance; is if the band is really good LIVE. If not....CROWD NYC SA AP KOURI AVEK OU. YO PA SOU BAY NOUVEAU JAZ CHANS SOU STAGE PANDAN BAL." (He laughs)

Who wants to pay$30 to listen to these clowns playing Zouk. The majority of these new bands have no identity. They are playing a music that takes its root from Konpa. The only way that I will support them is when they start playing some good Konpa rhythm not that slow and boring Zoouk music. _________________ SHAH
