We asked ZENGLEN leader BRUTUS the following question below.
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Your band ZENGLEN was picked by respected Haiti radio personality PIPO ST LOUIS of MARDI ALTERNATIVE as the band that plays the BEST COMPAS "LIVE" right now in the business. Keep in mind that he represents NU LOOK in Haiti, yet he said that YOUR BAND ZENGLEN is the one that plays the best LIVE in the entire HMI right now. Any thoughts? Do you back up what he is saying?
BRUTUS: "I appreciate that he chose ZENGLEN as one of the best or the best band in his conclusion. It makes us happy and gives us courage to continue doing the work that we have continued to do for all these years.
These types of debates I usually leave up to the MELOMANES and EXPERTS to talk about instead of ME talking about it. If you do ask me I will humbly say that YES Zenglen is one of the bands that plays the best LIVE because we have worked hard on that for many many years. Nevertheless if Pipo was giving a trophy for that, I would take it wi...LOL; but I do appreciate what he said about the group. I have made sacrifices for years in order to make this band the best that it can be, and I really am appreciative of comments like that. Thank You."
