He has done several parties with many bands, so KM asked promoter RONY EN ACTION the following question below.

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Give me the RANKINGS of the MIAMI bands from 1 to 10 in terms of current popularity.

RONY EN ACTION:

"1) NU LOOK (NU look played more recently than any other bands and the demand is still higher )

2) KLASS (They've done a very good job... started about 4/5 months after the album dropped and they still keep up with the demand. The fans still going out in numbers to see them. Most importantly the band as a whole seems to be very happy.

3) GABEL (A very great young band; with great products, they proved themselves to the fans. They can produce great music and they work as a group and stay as a group in good or bad times. As they continue working hard, the media and the promoters need to pay more attention to them and allow them to showcase their hard work more. They need to push more and harder in the marketing department in the USA.

4) T-vice: They are a band with some good strategies. When things are not working in the USA, they look elsewhere to book the band outside their territory. They have a great way at handling controversial situations as proven by the departure of former members. Big up to them. Pa gen kod ki mare yo.

5) Harmonik (Great band, a great team who can win but either has a bad referee in the center or the management team needs to be replaced. When Nickenson, Sanders, MacD is your front line you can't go wrong but why Harmonik can't be where they are supposed to be with those great songs?
a) I think they need a good manager with knowledge of the business and who can work with the media
b) They need to put money in. Reserve account for marketing because Nick said they don't have money for marketing. If you don't have a money man behind your band, use your own money, and if all members and giggers want to see progress, they must accept a pay cut so the band can save money from every gig. If they put 500 dollars aside every gig, things would be different.
C) They must be more media friendly. I think they been highlight by some media/network and they did not get the airtime they deserve.
Like some of Haiti networks refused to air their last video ( Illegal ). Why? Because it shows too much skin? Your network can't show the video but they can show a dead body in the street; they can play some hip hop with so much explicits; you can show how a police officer shot a citizen at point blank range; you can show the prostitutions ring live reports. Stop with that nonsense and show some love to those who deserve it.

6) 5Etwal: They have a great album with great songs who can turn into hits but they can't do it live for me. I think if they can manage the front line they can do great damage especially with the style of rhythm they play but they have some gigs going on for them.

7) XTassy: Well put together young band, they can surprise the HMB (Haitian Business Music ) my only thing is they need and must showcase the lead singer Alex more. Let him do his part. The group is showcasing the front line like Carimi but it worked for Carimi then because the business was more open to accept that type of rotation at the time.

DISIP: What can I say they are 5 years standing with two greats albums that the management and the band wasted; but they are still working. I think Gazzman needs to understand and accept criticism and respect the media on the same note. Be more of a leader like his song says. The thing he said about T-Harry after the Paris tour hit the band; the thing he said when T-blanc situation hit the band; the way he handled the BODO and SEXY BEEF situations; it is not the right way for a leader to handle these things.

A leader must show show appreciation, respect, understanding, tolerance, and should always be ready to listen and compromise. I have nothing but great respect and love for you, you are my cousin but I want to see you succeed.

9) Zenglen: A band like Zenglen with more than 25 yrs in the business for them to be where they are now; its a disaster. We all know where zenglen came from and where they are now What we all should ask is: why ?

My personal opinion:
a) lack of respect for the business
b) lack of respect for investors
c) lack of communication and understanding for employees
d) zero in the management department

I can go on and on. Now here they are with almost no front line after the got the resulted they were looking for.
