Allegedly, a physical confrontation went down last night in Atlanta between ALAN CAVE and Atlanta promoter CARLITO. We called CARLITO and he told us that he would rather wait to see what Alan is going to say before making any comments; and a call to ALAN went straight to voicemail.

A source that was there told us this

Biggest potential loser in all that is the Atlanta market.

I could not make the party last night due to the death of my best friend' s mom. My brother was there and told me this:

Nice party, nice showing (around 500 people) in the party. Very Possible since it was the first event of the year (the Zenglen in January was cancelled due to the death of a club owner/promoter).

Act I: Alan approached Carlito early on and asked for his money, Carlito told him "no pressure Alan..I am the one driving you to the airport", Alan got mad and pushed Carlito. Carlito swung back at him and made contact. The Vice brothers intervene and started showing support for Alan " Carlito, ou pa manyin Artist, regardless...". Alan humbled himself and apologized to Carlito for putting his hand on Carlito first, but wanted Carlito to apologize in return which he refused. Alan said " If so, I do not want your money, you can keep it"

Act II: Alan went back to get his money and was still mad. Carlito offered Alan to drink Champagne, Alan took the money and started destroying the $100 bills and all hell's breakin' loose, both guys blew their shot fuses. Was Carlito coming short of the amount negotiated with Alan to trigger the fight (The party was a success). I witnessed Alan taking less money from Carlito back in June in the Jbeats-Alan bal that was not that good (300 people)

I am connected to both guys (Alan from my Lafleur Ducheine and Elmont/NY days and Carlito ever since I moved in ATL in 2004. Carlito is good body of Alan (speed dial stylee), The Vice Brothers and especially Richie Klass. Was it a case of Alan securing his pay since he saw the party was a success and he did not want any BS from Carlito? Was alcohol involved? 2 short fuse/short temper guys going at it?

It is a rarity to have 500 people in a party in ATL. Tvice usually does 400 on its own, so we do not want this drama. Hope both guys can work this out. The destroyed/mutilated bills can be sent to DC (US Bureau of Engraving and Printing) for full refund, but not sure where to send Alan-Carlito relationship for repair?

I did Pat...We are different in tone. Richard is obviously and rightfully (Alan's cousin and artist like) very upset. You can hear it in his voice. Blood is ticker than water.

The HMI is a band/artist paid first business, but it is common practice when a bal is not getting the break-even numbers for the promoter to negotiate the balance with the band. Most bands will wave the balance clean, some will add it as a debt. The Carimi bal in 2014 in ATL had 200 people due to another party going on at the same time, so the 500 ATL regulars split between both party that night. Carlito has no relationship with Nulook by the way, them two have past stories from NJ. He is booking Klass mainly/exclusively, Tvice, Disip, Alan, JBeats.

Back to the subject, I did some more Intel and I was told that Carlito paid Alan the full amount minus the hotel cost (Alan did not use the hotel since he was playing for an African promoter on Friday and stayed at the hotel paid by the African. Wrong from Carlito since Alan is his own broker/manager...that is his right to do as many bookings as he can as long as he showed up to execute his contract...You can't get mad because the hotel room was paid for nothing...the cost of doing business regardless if Alan showed up or not.

All in all:
Alan bay Carlito gagan'n : Wrong
Carlito reacting back: Wrong (the guy is under your care, his safety is under your responsibility)
Carlito short changing Alan: Wrong
Alan to destroy the bills: Wrong
The cursing and name calling (N word included): WRONG
The ensuing fight: WRONG, WRONG, WRONG

Carlito is going to take some heat. We are talking Alan Cave here. The guy most loved by all the fans and all the HMI bands.
