____________________________________________________

HMI icon and Kanaval veteran FABRICE ROUZIER had this to say about KANAVAL 2015.

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Your TOP 3 kanavals this year if I may ask?
FABRICE ROUZIER: "NONE. Nothing has really impressed me this year. Olivier Martelly probably has the most popular song with Ti Lezanj and Kreyol la has made a much better effort than last year's; other than that...same old same old."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: You are a polemic veteran, what do you make of the TVICE/DJAKOUT this year?
FABRICE ROUZIER: "Boring, Repetitive and Completely uncreative. They should stop awarding automatic floats to so called "tenors". That is the main reason why there is NO progress in kanaval music."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: But those 2 REMAIN the 2 most popular bands at carnival from the fans; so is it safe to say that it is IMPOSSIBLE for them NOT to get a float?
FABRICE ROUZIER: "They should work as hard as everybody else to get a float. Otherwise, they will be constantly putting out this kind of gibberish. If you have a job where the boss pays you whether you work or not, what will you do? These guys are currently doing the absolute minimum. They record a song without worrying about the content and they perform ( they actually are louder than everyone else, and based on that they "win". ) It's been that way for way too long...But, obviously now these guys are TIRED and a majority of the public is also exhausted. Time will tell what will happen to them."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: Thoughts on RAM's kanaval?
FABRICE ROUZIER: "Kanaval ? It sounds like a sound check to which they gave a title."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: BOUKMAN?
FABRICE ROUZIER: "Pat, they've had much better. As you can tell, I'm really not impressed."

*KOMPA MAGAZINE: GRACIA DELVA LE KOMPA?
FABRICE ROUZIER: Please....

[b]He then had to leave because he was busy

Kudos to MAESTRO FABRICE! Always on point, on most of his comments!
Musically speaking, these Meringues have nothing new! Same thing! Pale anpil, except kek ti slogans! Apre sa, Creativity is lacking!
En d'autres termes, maestro a di, tout c tan pedi! The guy is a VETERAN! Can you disagree with him?
AUTOMATIC FLOATS should not be NORMS like MAESTRO FABRICE has said!

supply and Demand Mr. Rouzier that is all sir!

neither T-vice nor Djakout have produce a kanaval that a nation could be proud to showcase in almost a decade...just a bunch of childish and degrading jabs at each other and their families...BUT pep la eats it all up so until the tide shifts (which some signs are slowly showing) it will continue to go on bc its profitable for both bands to do so.

I personally have had no interest in kanaval since the country wanted to throw the event despite the fact people were still homeless from the earthquake.

so this is like the NBA All-Star break for me...pou sa ki remen bagay sa yo...Have your fun...wake me when its over. Cool Arrow Arrow Arrow
