DABENZ: "That was KING KINO. The first time I saw him on stage in haiti sou champ mars li tap perfome; misye te kale tet li le sa, epi li te gen yon cheve blanc nan mitan tet li. Ce te premye fwa mwen we misye soti nan sekey la. Mwen te fremi... depi la mwen fou bel nan lari ya loll."
(ENGLISH) "For me it was KING KINO. The first time I saw him on stage was on Champ de Mars in Haiti. He was bald except for some white hair in the middle of his head. I also saw him come out for the first time inside that coffin. Ever since then...I've been crazy."

That was indeed a great moment.
I was a fan of Kino myself at the time.
Chak musique Kino se te tankou yon vèsè biblik.
Il avait un style différent ki pat local.
I'm not surprised that he had inspired others to sing.
Mwen te chaje kasèt Kino (fantòm), Mwen konn ap chante tout refren tankou m se te backup.
He was once my favorite Kompa artist then he became a politician outside of music lol _________________ «Nègre, je suis et, nègre, je resterai.» Je suis Philosophenoir |
