 |
|
___________________________________________________________
With DJAKOUT having just released a new CD, now comes the VERY IMPORTANT DECISION about WHICH SONGS TO PUSH LIVE on the bal circuit in order to market the songs to the fans. Let's keep it real, the bands have to make some tough decisions to pick some songs for NOW, and other songs LATER (1 Year from now) so that all the songs are not used in 1 shot.
If it was up to me...the songs below are the tracks that I would play LIVE "First".
Keep in mind that they are already playing LOD NAN DEZOD.
*LIBRE D'AIMER: The first song from new vocalist STEEVE that jumped out of the gate on the CD. It also seems to be a popular choice already with the fans.
*PESECUTION: This is PURE DJAKOUT and the grooves on this track are CRAZYYYYYYY. It is a good song to keep the hardcore LOBEYEUR fans on board from the word jump with something/sounds that they are familiar with.
*LA FWA: A popular song sung by STEEVE KHE, and also because it is the ONLY UPTEMPO SONG that STEEVE sings on the CD. It's good to show that he is versatile.
*MA VIE SAN TOI: DREAD LA needs a slow tempo track POUL FE SHELBE, and especially since the last hit that Djakout had on the last studio CD was the SLOW JAM sung by Pouchon entitled "REYALITE A". I would go with this one because it is the SIMPLEST/EASIEST of the tracks for the fans to sing, and that makes it easier for the song to blow up.
*MWEN MOURI: A popular choice among musicians of other bands based on what they've told Kompa Magazine, and also seems a favorite of many fans as well. I hope the band is able to play that song WELL "Live" pou yo pa gate feeling noun ki rinmin bel mizik sa.
*TET FRET: You also need another UPTEMPO to have the band jam THAT ALSO INCLUDES SHABBA with a major appearance. SE POU PIKLIZ JAZZ LA KALE KOL TOU, and this song represents the perfect platform for SHABBA to do his thing.
THOSE 6 SONGS ABOVE ARE MY CHOICES FOR THE TRACKS TO PLAY "LIVE" first.
*****I AM IN AGONY for leaving APROUVE M for later on because it is one of my favorites. If they had to leave one of the Steeve tracks for later...go with this which can bring a BOOSTER to the band LIVE when those first six listed above komense ap pedi gas.
SA W PRAN SE PAW is also a GREAT compas workout....The BEST PURE COMPAS SONG on the CD...but you can't play all of them Live in one shot. Sve it for 1 year later...the same goes for BEKE, JE LE JURES and SEZISMAN, even though I am willing to bet that SEZISMAN might the song that they play the least IF EVER "Live" from this CD. Se "SEZISMAN" ki ka domi deyo nan baggay LIVE sa.

I would take out Ma vie Sans Toi and add Saw pran se Pa w
Djakout is often dismissed as a banboch/lobey band only when in fact they can play some Konpa with ANYONE! It's time they get that respect...
Mtandem koupab....Se Vreeeuuuu!!!
Hepa Hepa men papa Konpa!!! _________________ Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.
