-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We got this note from RICHARD CAVE this morning about what GAZZMAN told us yesterday in regards to the "POUKISA" music video issue.

Check it out below....along with VISUAL PROOF from Richard Cave.

RICHARD CAVE: "Hello everybody,

I was surprised to wake up yesterday to a post by Gazzman concerning the video "POUKISA." Throughout the day I received calls and text messages from many of you who were as surprised as I was about what was said in that post. I want to thank everyone for their continued support. Normally, I would not respond to a post and prefer to let my actions speak for themselves. I have always prided myself on the fair way I treat my fellow musicians, for whom I have much love and respect. However, this time, because there were so many inaccurate statements in that particular post, I wanted to make certain things clear.

For those of you that don't know , I worked with Gazzman on his last CD. I helped him with a couples of songs, which he mentioned in his post. I didn't ask to get paid for my work and I didn't want to get paid because I believed in him. I did this because I love working with new artists or on new projects and it was an honor to work with him. I even worked so hard on his project that I fell behind on my own project and was late with my own deadlines. Still, I did it for the love of music and my fellow musician.

When Gazzman asked me to sing on the album, I told him that it would be a pleasure. After the album release, that particular song was doing well so Gazzman decided to shoot the video, but I only became aware about his intention to do a video with our song when I happened to see the preview on Kompagazine. Later, Gazzman told me that he would pay for a ticket for me to come and shoot the video and I agreed. No date was ever set until our schedules seemed to work for a video shoot on Dec 23rd in Miami. I stayed in Miami for the sole purpose of shooting the video that day. The shoot never happened. Instead, the night before the shoot, I received an Email from The person shooting the video, LUNER (I have copied it for you here):

*NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR TO RICHARD CAVE and GAZZMAN*
Attn. Gazzman Couleur & Richard Cave,

It's 7:09 and I have not heard from Gazzman Couleur in regards to tomorrow's shoot. My team and I have gone the extra miles to make this shoot a success, especially right before Christmas eve. We have a budget of an additional amount of $2,000 for this shoot with Richard Cave and I have no idea where Gazzman is at.

Gazzman, knew about this shoot, he suggested we shoot on Monday 23, He wants this video before the year is over, but I truly do not see that happening. Gazzman never call me to check to see if everything is in place for the shoot. I've tried contacting him through Facebook, Phone, and via Email. Everyone is on a busy schedule and I can't afford to have everyone waiting to see what happen.

I'm letting everyone know if I do not here from Gazzman by 9:00pm tonight the shoot is automatically cancel. I can only stretch so far.

Thank you for your understanding.

Luner Eugene
Director
********************************

RICHARD CAVE: I also sent the following text messages on April 29, 2014, to Gazzman's Manager Patrick Fabre asking if they would like to reschedule and do the shoot during Kompafest:

RICHARD CAVE: "I gave the guys the chance to shoot the video on Monday during Kompafest since i was not playing that day. Patrick Fabre told me that Luner ( the director) was too busy--come to find out from KATALOG that Luner was working on the Gabel video.

In any business you have to have a strong work ethic, be principled, be organized, and be consistent. In order to do this, you have to make a lot of sacrifices. I've always tried to sacrifice and apply these principles in everything I do. Part of this is being humble. Having respect for those that came before you. I have a lot of respect for those that have been there before me. I love working with other musicians. I don't understand why a musician that I worked closely with, who I have always been fair with, would believe that I wouldn't want to do the video with him.

I was shocked to read Gazzman comments. He could have called me and it would have been easy for us to clear any misunderstandings.

Nevertheless, I 'm not holding any grudges against him. If and when Gazzman is ready, has finalized his issues with the video director/producer Luner, Gazzman can give me a call and we can finish this project together.

KM!

Kyet, mpa konnen ak kisa Gazzman pral vini la men misye paret led anpil.

I don't know Richard Cave that well but being a KM member following this HMI, his track record speaks for itself, always goes the extra mile to help fellow musicians.

@ this point they should not even continue with the Video et Gazman ta semble dwe misye yon apology en public tou.

They should continue with the VDO, because the mass won't even know about this drama in KM or wont care much, they will enjoy the VDO for what it is...

Anglais pale Anglais konpwan...
There's the difference between a professional and blofé... Sorry, but just keeping it real.. Some of these artist don't get it... You have to respect the profession like you would the craft... Too many of these artist lack responsibility, respect, and professionalism... I'm glad that Richard cleared his name let alone provide CONCRETE EVIDENCE of what really transpired... Antouka you live and you learn.. Hope the video gets made.. If not, oh well... Kitel mâché!

You might be right but you know how all radio stations are monitoring KM and other websites to discuss on their shows.

As I said in the post about Gazzman, and based on Richard's response here, there was no plan to even make a video for this song until after the fact.

From what I read here, Richard made the time to shoot the video and it went to waste. Gazzman can't expect Richard to bend backwards to make this happen!

Personally I dislike it when people waste my time. It's so precious to me. If I give you my time and you waste it, you won't get it again!
