However, I personally would not do it because of my personal ethics, I believe in dealing and treating your musicians right in the first place, so you don't have to worry about any outside offers. The act itself can be perceived as unethical, but it's acceptable."

Reality is any individual has the right to pursue his/her career any way he/she pleases if he/she has no formal or legal ties with no one. That's the general aspect of it, however in any business where one is interacting with another some social standards also matters like morality, loyalty, respect, etc... But it has to do with the individuals's personality, their business perceptions and how they handle their needs, because some people make any move out of desperation without being aware of the consequences...

We could go on and on about what should and what shouldn't but one thing is clear, every decision you make in life affect you, your surrounding, your relationship with people, how they'll see you and how people will deal with you in the future... In conclusion I can say Yes, business is business, but aside all these there are a lot of values left that keeps us going, and we can still apply while doing business...Standards, Respect, Moral, Loyalty, Friendship... People will bow to you because of your money and still don't like you but they will respect you for your moral standards..."
