Jaz Enterprise Statement on 9th Annual La Nuit Des Jeunes:

It is with a heavy heart that the Jaz Enterprise team writes to you on the day after La Nuit Des Jeunes to apologize to our guests, musicians, media partners, advertisers, promoters and supporters. We pride ourselves in our reputation of doing great work for our community. Despite our best efforts, last night we fell short and let down our fans.

After many months of planning what we hoped would be the best show in LNDJ history, our event team faced unforeseen challenges beyond our control at a new venue. This caused a production delay in the start of the program as well as technical issues. As a result, the performance time of each act was cut short. Due to a show over-run, the event was forced to stop abruptly, not allowing Mikaben and Klass to perform as scheduled. This is especially disheartening as we know each and every musician scheduled to perform last night worked hard to deliver a memorable performance for their fans.

Above all, we deeply regret that our guests were inconvenienced in any way. Jaz Enterprise will be producing a Fan Appreciation event, so please stay tuned for details.

As we approach 2015, LNDJ will celebrate its 10th anniversary and Jaz Enterprise will reach its 20-year milestone. Throughout those years, we’ve greatly appreciated continued industry support to produce a standard of excellence and professionalism. As we learn from this year’s event, we look forward to bringing La Nuit Des Jeunes back to its vision of delivering an unforgettable experience for Haitian music and culture.
