Whenever a new cd comes out, you always hear the same BS from bands, managers, fans and all....WE'RE GOING TO SHOOT 6/7 Music videos or more. TCHUIPPP...SE TE JANM VRE!

Once the euphoria of the new cd dies down, the reality sets in on the band and fans, and for whatever reason, whether it be FINANCIAL, or BUSY SCHEDULE, or LAZYNESS...these plans go out the window. Also once the FANATIK MALADES or close associates of the band come down to earth (Yo TOUJOU rinmin tout mizik sou plak jaz yo...MINM SI GIN MIZIK yo we ki pa sa), the band gets down to the cool headed choices of picking the music/songs that they feel will work for them.

I am not a GABEL FANATIC MALADE, so I believe that puts me in a good position to be reasonable in terms of THE MUSIC VIDEOS THAT I THINK GABEL MUST SHOOT in order to SELL THIS CD to a wider audience. My picks are based on me having sat down to listen to the cd countless of times, and to also put the businessman hat on, to see if I were the head/CEO of the GABEL company, what would be in the best interest of the CD & GROUP (Not the fans or individual musicians) to sell the cd & band.

BELOW are my 4 PICKS for MUSIC VIDEO "MUST" shoots for the band. Who knows, the group might decide to shoot only 1, 2, or 3....You never know.

1)*FANM SA MARE'W: THEY HAVE ALREADY STARTED SHOOTING THIS ONE. Seems to be the fan favorite out of the gates, and I can see why. Can help move the cd units out of Patrick Fabre's garage. Like we stated in our review, it has a very catchy chorus, and will easily remain in people's minds. It also sells the workhorse genius of this cd because TI PASHOU is featured with FLAV on this track.

2)*BABY DON'T CRY: Where the beat for FANM SA MARE'W is a bit awkward despite the catchy chorus, this one has a perfect commercial compas love appeal. It also sells the main singer of the band KATALOG (Not featured in the first video)...and also on a mellow track. KATALOG up to now is seen by the majority of the fans as a hardcore uptempo compas singer. This track is the perfect choice to kill all that noise and instantly establish him as a COMPAS LOVE singer as well. Another selling point is that it features BOTH LEAD SINGERS (KataFlav..or Katalog & Flav) if you prefer on the same track. How can you forget that line in the song once you put it in the video "Cheri...Pa okupe Bob Doll...se Katalog ki bay Love"

3)*DAT'S OK or FE YO WE'W (1 Pick from these 2)
"DAT'S OK":The group can go with "DAT'S OK" because of it's ZOUK flavor and capability to attract another market (Zouk/Antilles) to the group. The only negative is that it features Katalog on video on another Compas Love track instead of his favorite signature Uptempo domain.

"FE YO WE'W": The obvious reason is that it features HMI superstar Roberto Martino on the song. That alone can bring an entire other audience for the group. The Roberto/TVice fans might decide to check out the video because it features Roberto...EPI YO TOU PANTAN SOU MIZIK LA as well as the group, and if they like the song, might be willing to give the group a chance. It also has a very marketable SLOGAN ...KI PRAN DEJA, but which can become BIGGER.

4) *KONFESYON or I BELIEVE IN YOU (1 Pick from these 2)
"Konfesyon", they stuck this song towards the bottom half of the cd as if they don't believe in the track, but they will be shocked at the result that they might get if they push this song with a music video. One of the catchiest and most beautiful tracks on the cd. DON'T MAKE THAT MISTAKE OF IGNORING THIS SONG, or else you would have wasted a possible OU SE MELODI or even more result. I've been sticking my neck out for this song ever since I heard it...GABEL...NA DEGAJE NOU.

"I Believe in You": The obvious team up with Naila Khol, and the track being a Celine Dion remake does NOT hurt it at all in terms of potential music video and crowd "capture". It all depends on what it is Gabel is looking for.

AFTER THAT...TOUT LOT MIZIK YO....yes they are good, but THEY "CAN" live without a video. PA KITE FANATIK MALADE FE TET NOU CHO pou nou al depanse plus ke sa if your budget does not allow it. If GABEL carefully chooses 4 out of the ones above....THEIR STATEMENT WILL BE MADE LOUD & CLEAR on the music video front in terms of selling this cd to the people.

GABEL....FE YO WE'W!!!!!

After Fanm sa mare'w Gabel should come with Fe yo we'w. Its commercial enough and would catch the attention of those that like the uptempo songs.

Baby don't cry definately needs a video. My fav off the album

"PA KITE MOUN POU MOUN" is also a great choice, that raboday part is just infectuous,
