MISTY: "Hi Patrick,
How are you? Last saturday the band and I performed at The Mariott Biscayne Bay Hotel for the 18th Annual Fund Raising Gala of Fanm Ayisyene Nan Miami. This non profit organization headed by Marleine Bastien has been in the forefront of the battle for Haitian Rights in South Florida for the past 18 plus years. Many city/county officials and activists were present and we provided the entertainment.
To my big surprise, I was presented with a Certificate of Recognition from the Mayor of the City of North Miami Mr. Andre Pierre for my dedication and commitment in showcasing Haiti's art, music and culture throughout the world and especially in our community.I am very humble by it and this gives me more strenght to keep on doing my thing."
