 |
|
What if NOEL & CECIBON invested their money in another HMI band to try and "HELP" make them into a top HMI band much like they did with HARMONIK?
COULD THEY DO IT?
WOULD THEY DO IT without having any sort of conflict with their current bread and butter HARMONIK?
Would you bet against them going for the DOUBLE in making another NEW BAND into a respected top HMI contender?
Could it work?
Your thoughts.

I don't think it would make any difference because Noel was not the sole contender as to why Harmonik is the way they are today. I do respect that he played a big role, but Harmonik itself is a band with talented individuals. |

I am not quite sure why you are trying to show that you are "DEFENDING" Harmonik here because THIS POST IS MORE ABOUT NOEL/CECIBON and them taking on another challenge with a new band.
Perhaps if you took your time to read the question, that would certainly help matters.

It wouldn't be a slam dunk by any means.
People usually attribute the entire Harmonik success solely to Tonton Noel deep pocket without taking Nicky's superstardom into consideration.
To me a combination of things.
Good marketing, coupled with Nicky's solo success in addition to a good CD etc...
Na sonje ke Rodney te gen yon djaz deja ki pat fe sikse. |

Patrick please yes I read the post, and why would I defend Harmonik.
What if NOEL & CECIBON invested their money in another HMI band to try and make them into a top HMI band much like they did with HARMONIK?
I dont see why not
COULD THEY DO IT?
Like I said again I'm sure they could only if the band has talents.
WOULD THEY DO IT without having any sort of conflict with their current bread and butter HARMONIK?
As long they run both bands as a business, things should be fine.
Would you bet against them going for the DOUBLE in making another NEW BAND into a respected top HMI contender?
It would be good for the HMI
Could it work?
Yes it can as long the group as talented individuals.
Your thoughts.
At the end of the day as long you have talents, a good strategy, and some money anyone can have a sucessful band in the HMI. |

Ok Pat. Noel and Co would have to have the right combo in order to replicate their success.
These days, you need to have the right marketing and well known musicians and great product to be successful. |

What is a top band...
A top band..
1- has a kick ass album
2- is a force to reckon with in all the major HMI cities and the motherland..
3- is dominating because of their translation of their album in the live circuit...
You're not a top band just because you have a major investor behind you pouring money, and seem to have a great influence in some part of the market.. a silver spoon has been handed to harmonick.. harmonick is the beneficiary of Rodney's connection.. that's the reason you always get the "harmonick/tvice.. harmonick/carimi.. harmonick and some other bands"... you put harmonick anywhere to play by themselves.. the result is average... they can't pull the crowd that a djakout/nu look/carimi/tvice can pull with a new album.. in a city like new york..
So if Rodney back anyband... that will mean that harmonick will have to share the wealth.. and that might not be good news.. at the end of the day, it's better to rely on great music than a deep pocket investor.. _________________ P.P.P= PIYAY POU PIPO
