Any suggestions people??? It's that time of year and I only know some chansonette francaise ones and of course the American ones. If I wanted a compilation of Compas Christmas, traditional Christmas carols, and even some more French ones what would you suggest?

Thanks in advance. Very Happy

There are tons of them...if you consider the many KONKOU CHANTE NWEL by TELEMAX.....My favorite is the #1 song of 1998 by Yolette Lagrandeur...PLEASE CHECK IT OUT ON YOU TUBE...epi wa vinn banm nouvel....When you check it out...on the right side you will see the possibility to see a lot more videos from the Telemax contests....

One of the king of Christmas songs in Haiti was for a long time Lyonel Benjamin and now his song SE MWEN AB DE NWEL...has a nice remix by him and his son Michael Benjamin who put a little rap feeling in the son.
Tropicana has a song that is on rotation usually during the whole month of December in Haiti and they play it a lot on Christmas eve because the name of the song is 24 DECEMBRE....really nice song...with a good brass feeling...
Bossa Combo has a very good one with the voices of Raymond Cajuste and Joel Theodore.
Here is the list of some Christmas songs by Lyonel Benjamin.....

ALBUN:TONTON NWEL

1. Noël enfin
2. Nwel tounen
3. M'pa jam we tonton Nwel
4. Abdenwel

Face B
1. Tonton Nwel di moin ou ap passe
2. Nwel nou contan ou rive
3. Noël n' est pas le temps - Des chagrins
4. Joyeux Noël tout moune

ALBUM:NWEL LA RIVE

1. Nwel la rive
2. Nwel tap tap
3. Quand tu verras cette
4. Viv nwel
5. Beny chans
6. Nwel entenasyonal
7. Sa ou pote pou mwen
8. Nwel lanmou
9. Anbago nwel
10. Coupe de Noël
11. A la bel nwel
12. La Noël, c' est vous
He also has the album NWEL KAN MENM....

léon Dimanche did some too...among them UN JOYEUX NOEL Leon Dimanche et sa famille and also NUIT DE NOEL....however contrary to Lyonel he mostly do his own arrangement on some of the well known French songs....Lyonel made his own songs that reflect the reality of what Christmas is like in Haiti.

I hope I was able to help....I will leave room for others to contribute to this thread....
