We asked popular radio personality EVENS JEAN to break down how the two rival bands NU LOOK and DISIP are doing in Haiti. This is what he told Kompa Magazine. EVENS JEAN ON NU LOOK: "Dead issue. Point mort. The fans still can't digest the separation between Arly and Gazzman. OU SENTI GIN YON BAGAY KI MANKE. You can feel that there is something missing. Pipo is an EXCELLENT VOCALIST, but for some reason, he is missing a couple of things to make him connect with the public." EVENS JEAN ON DISIP: "They were doing very good without the cd, and it was strictly for the public's love of Gazzman. PEUPLE LA PRAN POSITION POU GAZZMAN thinking that Arly was the bad guy in the breakup. Having said that, YO PAP CHO JAN YO TE CHO A when they come back in December. The cd leak caused a lot of problems for the band here in Haiti. LI KRAZE BOUDA JAZZ LA. Heck even the cd that I was sent by a friend of Kaliko through him...IT CAN'T EVEN PLAY IN MY HARD DRIVE. My hard drive can't even identify the songs on the cd, so I suspect the cd that I was given for my radio show by the Disip crew is a bootleg....I can't even play the cd on my show."
