PIPO has made a decision regarding NU LOOK's upcoming cd that many will take as a SHOCKER to say the least.

KOMPA MAGAZINE called up "PROFET LA" (PIPO) to ask him what exactly he had in store for HIS fans, as well as the NU LOOK fans, in terms of COMPOSITIONS on the upcoming NU LOOK CD, that is when the charismatic vocalist dropped this bombshell on us.

PIPO "I actually have NO COMPOSITIONS coming on the upcoming NU LOOK CD. It was MY PERSONAL DECISION. ARLY insisted that I give a song or two for the project, but I explained to him that FOR THIS FIRST CD, I did not want to interrupt the NU LOOK MUSICAL FLOW by bringing in something totally different than what NU LOOK sounds like. MWEN PAT VLE DERANJE STRUCTURE MUSICAL JAZZ LA. I told him that FOR THIS FIRST CD, I wanted to do it like that, because I will have a chance to contribute on the other NU LOOK cds that I will be a part of."

PIPO continues "I wanted to let ARLY do his thing in terms of the compositions, that way MY SONG OR SONGS would NOT sound out of place on the CD when the fans are listening to it."

When I told PIPO that RALPH's songs are usually DIFFERENT than the NU LOOK sound, he told me "That's RALPH, but in my case, I would prefer NOT to do that, especially on the very first NU LOOK CD that I am participating on. I will have plenty of other NU LOOK cds that I will be able to bring my compositions to the table on."

To the PIPO fans expecting to hear one or two of "HIS" compositions on the next NU LOOK cd....IT IS NOT HAPPENING!

NU LOOK's sound will change anyway just given the fact that PIPO's vocals will be on the songs instead of GAZZMAN.

The more chances you have to add songs to your resume... do it.

Why would Arly accept songs from Ralph Conde and not from Pipo? I don't think it's true what you guys are saying here.

It would have been nice to have 1 or 2 of his songs in there but no matter what misye ap jwen bon mizik nan men Maestro a pou li chante.

I actually dont mind that and I applaud him for making that decision. Not only does this prove to me that he plans on being with Nu Look for the long run but he's putting ego aside and actually thinking for the betterment of the band. Like he said, he will have ample time to compose some songs for the future Nu Look albums.

I understand his point..

But I hope that he understands that PIPO plays a major part in the transition of this "revamped" Nulook. I think adding a Pipo touch would've been a good idea because Pipo IS part of Nulook presently speaking and he is also the future of Nulook. Whatever Nulook was yesterday is in the past. Nulook moving forward w Pipo is a TEAM so it would've definitely been great to hear some of Pipo's work as well. I think whether or not he contributes to the album, Im predicting goodness but hearing a new flow would've been a plus..
