You guys/ladies remember it well, or maybe you don't. There was a time when DJAKOUT's popularity seemed to be extremely high in the HMI. They had the majority of the fans with them, and that includes fans of other bands. Even fans of their rivals TVICE would have no shame in their game bumping to DJAKOUT LA FAMILIA ALBUM/TUNES. Fans of other bands that are riding high right now, would NOT dare "diss" them at the time because their popularity was undeniable.

Obviously it is clear that things are not the same right now as that "LA FAMILIA" period for DJAKOUT. The band is still very popular and adored by fans; but perhaps not at the same level as that "LA FAMILIA..LA VI'M NAN MINW" PERIOD.

TRUE OR FALSE...With DJAKOUT about to drop a brand new cd, and the anticipation building that it might be a kick ass cd, I bring this question on the table.

TRUE OR FALSE: DJAKOUT CAN BECOME MORE POPULAR THAN THEY WERE during the "LA FAMILIA" period.

Tell us why you say YES or NO.

Pat,

Djakout fans will tell you YES Djakout can and is still the most popular band out there. Hold on Which Djakout are you reffering to? Laughing

They still have their hardcore fans no matter what..

Djakout pa produi- pa gen problem Fanatic di se nou ki pi bon
Djakout pa fe VDO- fanatic di pa gen problem nou pa besoin VDO , se taw taw nap taw taw jazz.
Djakout gen problem- fanatic di se fot management

In Essence , If Djakout drops something worthy they might make an impact, but i don t know if they will be more popular than La Familia Period. Keep in mind that PROMOTIONS/ MARKETING WAS IN FULL FORCE WITH LA FAMILIA AS WELL......

no doubt they can, with a mega hit song and some proper management i think they can. One of the reason their popularity went down a bit is because of bad management and the "chaque neg se boss" mentality
they need to do a lot of work in the promotion and marketing department

I really hope they do bounce back, but one thing for sure is that the game has changed and other bands are working hard and taking THIS BUSINESS SERIOUS AND TREATING IT WITH RESPECT.......

"Jistis" hold djakout for 2 and half years and it was due for them to release another album but it didn't happen.
"Profite" will help them a lot but will not Top Lafamilia/Biznis Pam because years ago they have Z-bo and Gary Pierre Pierre who was helping with Promotions as well as booking the band..
Yet djakout still remain one of the must popular band and the HMI...
They gonna need more promotion...

With a good album out and the band holds rehearsals on a regular they can surpass what they did.

i would say "YES" if and only if djakout can bring something new to the table..and that's why they exploded with that familia album in the first place....djakout made a 360 turn that year and everybody was like damn that ish is hot, it was new it was fresh and they took a risk...even though some will argue yo te pran priz sou system but bref it was refreshing.....they can still have a kick ass album, but unless they bring something big and think out of the box it would be impossible

ps remember the thriller album from MJ...he never surpassed that

when i think of La Familia era, people like Zbo
come to mind. people that actually cared about the band,
i dont think Djakout #1 have people like that backing them up as we
speak BUT with the upcoming album, with proper management,
team effort and determination THEY WILL get back to that same
La Familia popularity if not HIGHER!.

ou met tande tout parol anpil: Djakout is "Often imitated but NEVER DUPLICATED!"

FOFO

If a lot of people seem to say/think that ZBO was a major factor for that success, since there is no longer a PLAN "A"; why not have or go for a PLAN "B"?
