The bi-weekly poetry night show known as BOUKAN celebrated its first anniversary at Moca Cafe with grand style last night. Since the most popular haitian genre COMPAS birth falls within the same month as BOUKAN birth, the organiseers killed two birds with one stone by celebrating COMPAS 55th anniversary as well.
An array of stars, business people, HMI personalities were in attendance.
Alix Timmer(record shop owner, promoter) and Ludner Plaisir(radio host and compas historian) were honored because of their compas work achievement.
Certificates of Appreciaton were given to a lot people, businesses who had helped this Poetry Night be what it is today.
Even KOMPARED had a certificate too. I do not know why...  
Among other performers were ANDRE FROUAD, NAOMIELLE, SHERLY DESGROTTES, LAROSE, RICHARD NEMORIN, KENNY DESMANGLES(I missed Kenny performance)....Sorry if I forgot some names.
As usual last night was a night of poetry, comedy, music and laughter...I had too much fun.
