In the AMI, millions of fans still mourn Elvis and other American musical icons. If you could turn back time and bring back to life one deceased HMI artist, which would it be?
For me, it would be Jean Baptiste Edouard, master pianist extraordinaire. |

I second your choice LadyK and I would add Georges Lys Herard (MasterDji) super talented, gone too soon. _________________ San manti |

Ti Manno no dought makes the "Musical loss" list of the HMI.
I would add three names to the list:
- Master Dji: this guy was way ahead of his time....
- Ansy Derose: at first I didn't love his music (I had my reasons ) but when I got over it and listened to his music, this guy had a GREAT voice and some GREAT composition... _________________ Na Pale...

I second all of the previous names - Polis, Ti Manno, Derose, Master Dji... Islandprincesse - trust me when I tell you this; I know exactly where you're coming from with Destine Live with Polis and Laporte. Se bagay ki fe dlo kouri nan je'm plizie fwa deja!
I'd add a couple more guys that I mourn whenever I even so much here the band the played with. I'm talking of none other than the Legend himself Mario Mayala - guitarist extraordinaire! RIP Mario! Boxer di'w merci pou memories yo!!! Pa gin tankou'w, e pap jan'm gin tankou'w!!!! I'm not even worthy to mention your name Mario!!!! God bless your soul.
Gin yon bal Skah Shah 1985 mwen pote ave'm kote'm pase! Le wap tande vale plon Mayala ap depoze nan mizik yo.... Celebre, Verite, Souke....ah mezanmi!!! Bon pito'm kite koze sa la. I simply can't go on!
Another guy, another young and ultra promising talent was Jackenson. RIP kiddo!!!! Ou te feros serieuzman ou minm Jackenson! That Mizik Mizik Live with Jackenson at Roxy (Boston) - that CD is among my gems!!! And the way he carried himself on the guitar next to Keke was beyond memorable! I also saw Jackeson played with System at Brasserie Creole back in 2000...2001!!! Simply amazing!!!! Mental pictures sa yo, mwen pap janm bliye yo! I pray God that I never have Alzheimer's disease - paske'm tap tou mouri! Jackenson - RIP brodeur!
And lastly - he's not known for his music, but if I could, I'd bring back Maurice Sixto and ask God to keep him around indefinitely! Maurice - my parents and I will never get enough of you, never!!!! I can safely say that I speak for all Haitians! May you RIP sir!
