In the wake of the Haiti earthquake and the fact that World Cup 2010 is upon us, I think that this is a very timely story. It is truly touching, heartbreaking and sad story Just makes you realize, yet again, where we come from and how much further we have to go...
A short description:
Joe Gaetjens, a Haitian immigrant, scored the greatest goal in American soccer history. He should have been a hero. Instead, Gaetjens was abducted and died in a Haitian prison. "Outside the Lines" sheds light on his story.

Granbine,
Thank you for posting this. OTL did a great job with this piece. May his soul rest in peace.
It is somehow fitting that 60 years later, another Haitian gets a chance to be a hero against England. I hope Jozy is aware of this history and uses it for inspiration.
Much love
