Telecoms operator sponsors largest Haitian concert for third year running
Friday, May 7th – Miami, Florida: Digicel, the largest mobile operator in the Caribbean and fastest growing operator in Central America and the Pacific, today announced its sponsorship of the 12th annual Haitian Compas Festival, which takes place on May 15th at the Bay Front Park in Miami, Florida.
Top Haitian artistes – including Digicel-sponsored Carimi, Nulook, Mika Ben and Djakout – will be entertaining approximately 40,000 music fans from the Haitian Diaspora and, as co-sponsor of the festival for the third year running, Digicel has a host of exciting promotions and giveaways lined up to entertain Haitian music fans.
Digicel Head of Marketing for the Diaspora, Marlon Davis, said of the upcoming event: “We are delighted to be sponsoring such a prestigious event for the Haitian Diaspora. Over the last three years, we have delighted festival goers with a host of promotions and giveaways at the festival, and we promise that this year will be bigger and better.
“We will also have several Digicel booths for customers who wish to avail of Digicel’s wide range of products and services – including Digicel top up and calling cards– which offer the best value for money. Patrons who top up at any one of the Digicel booths with US$10 or more will receive 100% extra minutes to send back to family and friends in Haiti. In addition, free calling cards worth US$2 will be given away throughout the day with a surprise special offer.
