We received a phone call from the organizers of the ORLANDOFEST, and they are telling me that INDYFEST promoter KALIKO is muscling in on their "annual" festival date, by deciding to have his festival that was cancelled in January, on the exact same date that they have been doing their festival for the past 2 years. They were steaming.

They said that it was not until a few days ago that they received what they say Kaliko called a "courtesy" call to inform them that he would be having his festival on that date. They are under the impression that proper HMI respect/protocol is not being followed here, simply because they don't think that Kaliko would do that to any of the other major HMI promoters that have their annual Festivals around the same dates every year such as NOEL/CECIBON or JUNIOR MOSCHINO, as well as some others.

One of them told me that everybody knows that January in Miami is Kaliko's festival month. May belongs to Noel/Cecibon, so on and so forth.

They are steaming mad and feel that it's unfair, something to the effect of taking advantage of the little guy. They have more to say in regards to this issue apparently.

STAY TUNED.

KM!

Wow! I didn't know dates can belong to a specific festival organizer. Besides, Orlando Fest is in a different city and they did announce that they cancel the event. So what is the problem?

No one told them to cancel the fest. Yon bagay ki tap fet just a juillet, yo cancel li an janvier. U can't' blame Kaliko for being a business man.. Next time think before u make these type of decisions! Wink
