South Florida foster home prepares to receive Haitian orphans, asks for help
By Alexia Campbell, Sun Sentinel
A foster home in Miami Gardens is seeking the public's help as it prepares to shelter orphans from Haiti.
His House Children's Home, which cares for hundreds of South Florida children, is looking for Creole-speaking volunteers, cooks and counselors, among other services, according to Sabrina Sosa, a spokeswoman for the organization.
The nonprofit group is also asking for people to donate Haitian food staples. That includes okra, codfish, goat, beans, cloves and plantains.
His House Children's Home is at 20000 NW 47th Avenue, Hector Building No. 2, Miami Gardens. For more information, call Sabrina Sosa at 305-430-0085, ext. 266. _________________ The views/opinions that I express on KM are strictly and solely those of MINGOLOVE, the HMEI personality, and should not be associated in any way with my membership in any other fields nor be held against me in any matter not related to entertainment. |
