Former CARIMI bass player has played his last note with CARIMI. He is "NOT" on tour with the group in New Caledonia, and his departure from the group, for a musician that has been with CARIMI from the very beginning was basically treated as an afterthought by the group....NO FANFARE...NO SPECIAL THANK YOUS for the many years of service...and that hurts NOLDY a bit, even though he won't say it.

KM got word that NOLDY was "NOT" on tour with CARIMI in NEW CALEDONIA, so we decided to give him a call, and to our surprise, we got him. He told us that THE END OF THE ROAD WITH HIM AND CARIMI came in BOSTON on the third day of their 3 day THANKSGIVING stop in Orlando, New York, and Boston.

I was a bit perplexed because we figured that after all these years of service, we figured that CARIMI would have given him a "proper" goodbye, at least a little something much in the way they saluted STANLEY by bringing him back after he had left, just to salute him at the birthday bash cd release party.

We asked NOLDY if there was any THANK YOU from the group PUBLICLY ON STAGE at either one of those 3 last stops/gigs, NOLDY SAID "NO". NOLDY's last 3 GOODBYE GIGS WITH CARIMI was treated by the group as if it was just another day at the office apparently.

We asked NOLDY if he was hurt by it, he said "I've learned from a very young age to have thick skin. Am I surprised that my departure was treated as such by the group? NOT AT ALL. IT IS WHAT IT IS."

NOLDY is the one ORIGINAL MEMBER of the group that has been with "CA RI MI" from the very first performance. He was there when Glenny, Alex, Gregory, Ti Marco, Stanley, Rudy were NOT even there, therefore it is a bit perplexing that as a THANK YOU NOTE "PUBLICLY", the only thing that was said about NOLDY's departure was a 1 line sentence that was sneaked in there in a message by vocalist MICKAEL GUIRAND, along with pictures, addressing OTHER ISSUES concerning the band on the board not too long ago.

We do NOT know what went on behind the scenes between CARIMI and NOLDY, and NOLDY tells us that it was an amicable departure on his part, the bottom line remains that after several years of service, where he was one of the most popular members with the ladies, and his stage presence was one of the signatures of the group, his departure SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A LOT MORE IMPORTANCE THAN IT WAS BY THE GROUP. He is not someone who jumped on the CARIMI bandwagon when the group was already popular. NOLDY was there BEFORE CARIMIMANIA swept through the HMI.

We understand that the group might be trying to do damage control because it does look bad to lose 2 key members right after the release of their brand new cd, but having said that, if they believe in their product like many seem to, that should have no "MAJOR" effect, unless Noldy's replacement is not up to par "LIVE". Even after that, that is still no excuse.

NOLDY intends to have a PRESS RELEASE sometime this weekend where he will address his future plans and more.

STAY TUNED!

KM!

So far, Noldy is coming off far more professional and dare I say friendlier in this divorce. He's not badmouthing anyone, or anything of that matter. So if we're speaking about doing damage control, he takes the cake on this one. That being said, I do agree with that he SHOULD have gotten at least a shoutout, a thank you, a goodbye party, or something for all the reasons cited above and more.

I sure hope that some people do take the time to read this post without turning it into something else.

I'll be waiting for the press release.

Although I cannot wait for the reprecaussions of this post by the top buzzers...i must say that it is clearly evident there was a shakeup inside the camp...what are the odds of these members leaving such a high profile band that indemand in the short timeframe of one another...plus if we are to take Danny P.'s retracted allegations into consideration...gen yon ti drama nan CaRiMi.

But Sak fet nan CaRiMi.... Laughing Laughing

But on a serious note, CaRiMi up to this point hs done a good job in controlling the damage..but si Pat kontinye dig..ginler nou gen kek boomshots in the near future Cool

POPCORN anyone? Laughing Laughing Laughing

"La reconaissance est une lachete" I guess Carimi did not necessarily care nor put any value on Noldy's contribution to the band..How could one explain, the lack of acknowledgement of Nody's tenures in the band this entire time?....It does not make sense! Maybe, those guys don't really care about Noldy, the individual. Maybe, Noldy's departure meant nothing to them as long as their pockets are not affected. Maybe, their ego are getting in the way of seeing the bigger picture...Either way, a simple "thank you" and a bit of aknowlegment for the guy services should have been forthcoming.

I wish Noldy luck and success in his future endeavour, whatever that might be.
