The CARNIVAL PLANS for HARMONIK for 2010 have been shut down totally by the group. According to vocalist MAC. D "We felt that it was more important to just focus on the NEW STUDIO CD that we are working on, instead of doing these 2 things at the same time. So we are no longer even releasing a carnival meringue like we had planned on. We're just going to go down there at carnival and enjoy and learn. Nou pat vle fe 2 devwa a la fwa."

Carnival is not easy. It's not easy to bounce back after a terrible carnival showing if you are a rookie at this. The guys are right to take their time, go easy and do a carnival when they are ready or think that they have a winning formula.

Give me a break!! Harmonick just realize that it would not be as easy as they think it would be if they release a merengue for the 2010's ...Carnival can make or break a band if that band is not careful, ready or prepared... It might take a long time to recover especially if u don't come correct and your merengue has no effect whatsoever on the public....Right now, Harmonik is being talked about in all circles in the hmi and the smart thing to do is to keep the momentum going by staying away from carnival but given an excuse such as " working on your album" is not going to fly.

I am sure bands like kreyol la, T-vice, djakout mizik,Mass compas are in the process of working in their albums as well but that won't stop them from releasing a meringue for the 2010's carnival....when the time comes, they'll be ready.

POOR EXCUSE....

Yo eseye...yo wèl du...yo kouri...
I can't point out any member of Harmonik with real carnival experience....
Being on a float is one thing...to put on a successful merengue is another one...
This is my new slogan for 2010....Fè Efò...

And now the answer to SAK PASE or SA KAP FET is: Nap Fè Efò....

Ou te finn di wap fèl.....se pou kanpe dèyèl.... paske mwen tap tann carnaval la...This working on the album thing is a poor excuse...because...you can see the glass HALF FULL instead of Half empty by saying that song can be used as one of the tracks on the album...WHY NOT... just like Carimi and other bands did...So a carnival song will not go to waste after all...since it can be added on the album that you are working on....
Fè efò... fè efò...

There is a French proverb...L'effort fait les forts....

Anyway, SMART move Harmonick, bon calcul

All i am going to say is that its the second time they do a 180 with Carnival, yo pral lage epi yo pa janm lage, ou pa bezwen prouve tet ou nan knaval, its not a big deal harmonik te ka decide li papo janm fe kanaval, but pa disapoint fanatik ou 2 fwa, it looks like everytime they start , they cant find the formula and give up...

I beg to differ,...One of Djakout Mizik's most successful merengue's was executed successfully all along the "parcours" by none other then Sanders Solon, He was on the guitar for all 3 days...Yep, many didn't know, but Sanders HELD IT DOWN for the band, ...pandan peuple la t'ap REVANDIKE Wink

Experience is one thing, but your "sound" and theme set the tone. Participating in Carnaval is not just about coming out on a char. Tvice used to have the front of REX theatre completely blocked when they were on a stand. (people were like sardines in front of the Big Star stand Shocked I know I was there) Harmonik may want to try this (maybe) In the meantime, they are free to come jam with Djakout Mizik, I know the band would welcome them with open arms.

C’mon guys. Ba neg yo yon chans. Did y’all really expect them to say “Well, we sucked last year, so we’re afraid to go for 2010 and therefore we’re going to focus on our album instead and maybe get ready for 2011”? I’d rather not see them at all, then knowing they did terribly and were embarrassed.

Antouka Harmonik, pito ou mize nan rout epi ou pote bon nouvel. So take your time to produce a first-rate album and hopefully we’ll see you in 2011. Map tann nou…
