I have been reading a lot people talking about the difference about digital and full bands. Either I am totally wrong or people are confused. It seems the more bodies in a band is an indication of whether a band is full. To me digitial bands, were bands relying heavily on electronics to maneveur their sound. Full bands rely totally on real instrumentation, two guitars, keyboard, full percussions.

People are calling Carimi a digital band, but they have added a full percussion conga, drums, and gong. They have one guitar player and two keyboard players. While Djakout is the same thing, two keyboard players and they are not digital. Enfin

If it is based on sound then I will TVice is more a full band then Djakout, meaning a heavy compas sound. Djakout plays a rara based carnaval style and not a full blown compas direct.

System Band & Nu Look are full bands because they play the compas direct and have the traditional full band arrangements. Zenglen is also a full band but their sound is modifed compas direct with other influences.

How can one person tell me a band with two keyboard players is not a digital band then I am confused!!!!

H1, the problem with Carimi or any other bands with a drummer and an MPC is that the drummer is not totally free on stage. He relies on the MPC.

Any bands playing with an MPC to me is a digital band.

Two keyboard players in a band does not mean the band is Digital.

H1,

In some people's mind. It means the more bodies in a band identifies the band's format. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Toto,
I am a big fan of digital but the sound a human being made is way different and sound fuller than a digital sound. To answer H1, personally, the more human sound there are the fuller it is.
