Is KREZI about to change their musical direction to play more of a KONPA KREYOL style?
My sources tell me that maestro DAVID DUPOUX has been "TEASING" that idea to a couple of people, and there are many who would be extremely happy if he were to go back to that style, or at least to something closer to it.
KREZI has had a few complaints that they play too much hardcore compas NU LOOK/ZENGLEN style, and that they feel as if maestro DAVID DUPOUX has gone too far away from his bread and butter KONPA KREYOL STYLE that used to drive many fans crazy with those solo keyboards...of course we can't exclude the fact that he had the other guys on the team as well.
Will DAVIDOFF make the change? Is the "REAL" DAVIDOFF about to take KREZI's musical direction to what it used to be WITH KONPA KREYOL?....A SUIVRE!

first and foremost what is wrong playing a Nulook/Zenglen Style?
se paske anpil fanatik sa yo renmen mediocre if you ask me. a Band playing a Pure konpa direk style epi pou moun ap konplint. Parfois yo ginleu pense se Konpa mediocre la ki vrais Konpa direk la. enfin!!!

Actually there is nothing wrong with playing pure compas direct...but at the same time...those that love PURE compas direct need to realize that THEY are not the only ones who listen to Haitian music....
Having said that Kafou calling the style of music that KONPA KREYOL used to play "MEDIOCRE"...That says a lot...A lot of people sure would disagree with you based on how popular Konpa Kreyol was when they broke up. Mwen ta souhaite fanatic Konpa Kreyol yo find it in their hearts to excuse Kafou for his statement.

The problem is not "playing like Nulook/Zenglen"....the fans are concerned more because when comparing what they usually have from David and what they're getting now.
Anytime you change style you'll leave some fans along the way.
They are used to getting certain products from you....They loved them.........
not because there aren't other good or great products out there.........but what they usually have from you contain something that the others don't have.....
ORIGINALITY...............MIGHT BE THE QUESTION HERE.......

heumm excuse me Patrick but most of the konpa kreyol fans were young women and we all know that most young women don't really care about playing good music as long as you got a good looking singer in front of the band and some mediocre love songs its all good with them women
now as for David changing the groups style i don't think its going to change anything for the band......philosophenoir pretty much said it all |

READ what PHILOSOPHE said again, and you will see that he is saying that IT MAKES SENSE if he does do that because PEOPLE ARE USED TO THAT KONPA KREYOL STYLE from DAVID.

Dont see why he have to change style, if he still want to add the style he
used to have in Kompa kreyol for a song or 2 and do his thing.
but change i don't see why , when you can still play both.
That way you keep what you have now ,& pick bacl up what you had left behind.
