 |

IT IS UNANIMOUS that OLIVIER DURET has been a tremendous plus for T-VICE "ON THE STAGE", as well as ON CD ever since his addition to the group. With their new CD about to drop in the next few months, people are obviously waiting or hoping to have MORE OLIVIER DURET.
T-VICE as a business, how will they handle this situation. Will they give the fans MORE OLIVIER DURET on the next CD, meaning more than the 1 song that he composed (Santi'm Ta Kriye), as well as the SHARED VOCALS on the other song (Beaute Dangereuse), or will they be careful NOT to give too much spotlight than what Olivier already has...JUST IN CASE that
A) EGO does not get to his head (Olivier has proven that he is NOT of that character)
B) He decides to go join his good friend MIKA BENJAMIN in a band
Or perhaps other stuff....
ALSO....While T-VICE must get credit for seeing that OLIVIER would be a great addition that would benefit their business, does it bother them a little to see some people say or think that WITHOUT OLIVIER they would be in trouble?
Does it bother them to see some people dismiss all the work and hits that they had in previous years before Olivier, and say that T-Vice would have trouble without Olivier?
And IF the next cd is not as successful as KITEM VIV', will it be blamed on them not using Olivier Duret as much as they should have or more?
How will T-VICE handle this on their next CD?
A suivre.

My boys will be fine and yo konn jere business yo...Olivier is a great asset and everyone sees that..I would hope that they give him some more shine on their next cd as well as Rey and James too...(yep I said it-always liked the JC's raps and Rey's singing on Timidite)

Very interesting viewpoint, well I do agree Duret has made an impact and truly is a good vocalist for the style of Kompa Tvice's play, I do believe though if I was TVice I would still use him to the max even if the prospect of leaving is there. Why? Well, first Duret can help variate the approach and maximize an audience that TVice may not have garnered. With Duret, you can experiment with other styles in your album with great success.
So, give the man a couple of tracks to sing, it only helps it will not hurt and if he does leave ok well there is an opportunity to bring someone else and bring something different in the live circuit. TVice pakap kraze because the founders are there and solid, but if TVice approaches it right they can also be the place where many of talent can be used to maximize the bands business.
People leaving and going in bands is the norm in the HMI. Tout djazz sa fet so what is the big deal. This is a business so use and add what yo need because the founders and major players are still doing their thing but all they are doing are adding components in a Porshe.
Look at Zenglen, all the changes they have been thru djazz la ap mache and you know what they are about to blow soon with the addition of Darbenz. Change is not a bad thing if you approach it the right way and let ego come in the way. _________________ Statehood or Bust |

Very interesting, Pat!
True, it is undeniable the value and contribution that Olivier brought to T-Vice not only in terms of vocals but also in songwriting. Olivier played a major role in T-Vice success since the release of Kite m'Viv.
Roberto and Reynaldo made a great choice and knew perfectly what they were doing by adding Olivier. Olivier is now considered a major player when it comes to music in T-Vice. Roberto has acknowledged it many times.
Jessie, Roberto and Reynaldo are smart business people. They know what's good for the band.
They know Olivier's talent and potential. They have to keep using him and let him shine again on the next CD. How will they do it? Will it be 1 song, 2 songs, more duos with Roberto, more involvement in songwriting? I don't know. But they have their formula. They know how to use him.
Anyway, no matter what happens, which most likely won't (given their history of managing their musicians), T-Vice will always be the Martino brothers' band. No matter what... _________________ Yo di djaz sa frekan... Se pa fòt nou. Nou just RESAN! |

I second that!
Olivier is a GREAT addition to the team. BUT, people have to remember:
Sa fè lontan T-Vice ap bat ko'l nan lari a. Donc, mèm si Olivier ta decide rale ko'l, the band would still go on and do just fine.
I sincerily hope Olivier decides to stay with the band and dedicate his heart to it....

Tout Moun rekonèt ke Olivier pote anpil bagay pou T-Vice. Se normal pou yo bay misye chante plis sou next cd ya.
Men nèg yo ap toujou evite ke djaz la vin chita twop sou do Olivier.
Twop Olivier = NON.

I think he should get more than he got on the first cd, but T-Vice is a two men show. As long as the Martino can delivery for the band, they will be just fine. |

Why u guys worried so much ! Olivier Duret won't go no where , I beleive in what I say , he's good talented T-vice managememt knows that also ,the fans everybody , put him out there a liltle bit that's fine, but has a lead singer not a good idea , la madre knows what she's talking about ,when she doesn't want to put nobody up front because le folie neg la pran li li panse twop de li , li ka kraze Djazz la when ever he wants too example...( Reginald Cange ,Frero, Mika etc...) I beleive T-vice have a unique lead singer Roberto Martino and his guitar epi That's it !!! just put him outhere more in the next cd be perfect for the group.
