my fovarite would be "Zin" Title "W'aller", written by Edit St-Vil and i think that song is based on a True Story.

Touman by kdans is the ultimate one, very sad song. There's this song on Clef's album the Masquerade called "Daddy", it may not be a haitian song but since it is from a Haitian, I assume it can pass as one. For anyone who has lost someone you can't hear this song w/o some sort of sadness.
PS. Catdog the guy you're talking about is Jean Claude Guillaume, I just can't remember the title of the song.

I will always remember * la vi ya bel* by Superstar de New York back in 1991, that song was dedicated to me by a good old friend of mine and i fell in love with it right away...
specially that phrase.
