For those of you who were watching President Barak Obama's inauguration either from Washington DC, home, or anywhere else tell us today, how exactly you felt while the ceremony was taking place Question

Also, how did you feel when they were showing glimpses of President Bush and of course of him leaving the White House Question

I watched the inauguration with an ethnically mixed group at work and I couldn't help but notice the happiness, hopefulness, pride and genuine sense of satisfaction in the eyes and/or reactions of all who were there.

I sat solemnly in the back of our theater in order to allow the tears of joys to flow...undisturbed! Cool

I wish our new president Godspeed as he embark on this arduous journey!

As for Bush...je n'really care pas! Confused

Part 1 of your question - I felt this enormous pride and this feeling of "now we have an intelligent and realistic person BACK in the white house". I also thought of my mother who unfortunately didn't live long enough to see this day for herself, but I know she is in heaven with tears of joy because her daughter and grandson's got to see this in their lifetime. Very Happy

Part 2 of your question - I felt that Mr. Bush probably would of liked to have borrowed a dictionary so he could truly follow along with what President Obama was saying. Cool

I'm very mad I wish I could have called in sick today and when I try to view it on the internet the damn thing kept on freezing on me. All I can say is Thank God for DVR cause when I get home tonight I'll be able to watch everything. I'm very happy and pround that I was able to witness this in my life time and be part of it.

As a black man I'm very joyous, and Americans couldn't have picked a better man to represent both Americans & minorities at home and abroad...

As a Republican, I am reasonably displeased, as we'll have to wait at least 4 yrs until we will reign again...

As far as the changing of guard... It was sad to see Bush leave... He was our President for God's sake... He was a wartime President, didn't have time for diplomacy...

If you note during the ceremonial send off, it seemed Obama kept receiving reassurance from Bush, as he reigned for 8yrs, and been to the dance twice already...

Further, to those whom believe Bush was an idiot... Let me see you run a lemonade stand, let alone a country... The man is a Yale graduate... Those of you who has any knowledge of Ivy League schools, would know Ivy League schools would rather soil a family's name, rather than giving a degree to an idiot bestowing said institutions' name...

BTW - Ted Kennedy just collapsed at the Innagural luncheon... Probably was overwhelmed, or still battling his illness.

Which I might add, is attended by VP Quayle... My man...

it feels good... I must say.

although, I'm happy for being alive to see this day that I never thought would come in my life time if not ever, and hopeful that our president will be working very hard on our behalf to restore this country.. my faith is in the Lord..

no I did not cry on election day, I did not cry today Laughing but I do feel a sense of pride somewhere... I can't help to think that only God can make this a reality.

Obama came out of nowhere, absolutely nowhere to become president.. no one here can tell me that two years ago they saw this coming. only God can bend the course of time as such.

I have hope... hope for my country.. Haiti has been left for dead like so many other country on the face of this earth. at this moment, it seems that there is no hope for Haiti.. it seems impossible for haiti to catch a break.. but what just happened just remind me that our limit is only God's beginning. he is not bound by time nor space or matter. so I should not be hopeless..
I'm praying that in my lifetime I will see a better haiti. it's a dream, only God can make it real. Cool

Obviously, whatever I am smoking, is no way stronger than what you are smoking... If you read your retort, and my original post.. You would note, that the sh8t you're smoking is definitely laced with PCP...

Yeah, you say you've seen, I doubt you personally... But nevertheless, you've seen them pay their way in, but not out... I don't care if their parents bought the school, their dumbass child would be on the 10yr graduate program... Thank you anpil...
