I have never seen a more anticlimatic style of sports broadcasting. I was watching Spain - Saoudi Arabia earlier. The ESPN broadcasters were hardly calling any plays at all. When a goal was scored, they had a difficult time hiding the fact that they didn't care one bit about it. In fact, they spent the next 10 minutes making fun of the Spanish broadcasting team, because they were excited, and they were screaming so loud you could actually hear them (which isn't difficult, since the ESPN crew was so calm and quiet). And then, the ESPN broadcaster says this: (Get ready for this one) "I bet when they woke up this morning, our audience never thought they would be hearing Spanish on their TV sets while watching this game."
I guess no Latino in their right mind would actually listen to those fools, and they know it... This is really terrible. I have to pick between those monkeys and the blurry picture of the Spanish TV (ESPN's broadcast is in high definition so It's tough to watch another channel)...

You are so right Ben

The other good thing about them (besides that ESPN I/II or ABC are clear crystal channels) is they gave a lot of information about the sports; they have a lot of stats; news about the players, the teams, the coaches, the past games, etc... That's good

But other than that, presentation/animation Zeroooooooooooo.

Me, I watch the games on Univision/Telefutura and I record them on ESPN/ABC.

the only crew that I think do a good job calling the games are the ones who called the Korea/Switzerland game today (Friday 23). And guess what they happen to be foreigners (british).
The only prop I give them is that they brought people who knows and care about the game in their pre-match shows but other than that. ZERO
Let's not forget this is the same ESPN that let their newscasters make fun of soccer overtly while giving highlights on Sportscenter or ESPNews. At least for the World Cup they have kept it to a minimum but se we pou we le neg sa yo ap bay highlights match Champions League or other major tournaments
