How involved should the wife or husband of an HMI star be in the artist's career?
NOTHING AT ALL
MINIMAL
FULLY INVOLVED...including keeping tabs on the finances that come in?
What's your take on that?
IF YOU WERE A WIFE or HUSBAND of an HMI star....What would you say?

Pat, it depends...
if the wife is Jealous....then I say: not at all...
If the wife understands that the husband has to cater to the female audience once in a while (hugs, smiles, a little flirting here and there, autograph signing on private parts, for example)....then I say: Minimal involvement.
If the wife wants to play the role of the accountant: then I say: Full Involvement |

If I was an hmi wife, I would definitely be keeping tabs about the finances that would come in.Afterall it's part of the household budget and income.
For the rest, I would support him when necessary but I would not be involved in his artistic career if may put that way!

How can one really say?
My take on this is that when you accepted to marry that person, it was fully understood what kind of this you would have to face. Not to say that all artists of any kind cheat  but the realities of this industry must have been known to you.
Now that being said, I don't mean in any way that it's ok to let them run wild, go all willy nilly doing whatever they want. But 100% involvement doesn't mean jack because if he/she will cheat, he/she will just cheat. Being invlved might lover the chances but not eliminate them.
What would I do if I were the wife of an HMI?
Not be the wife of an HMI.
I would just not get involved with someone in this type of industry period.
That lifestyle in just not for me.

| If I was a wife of an HMI star or any star for that matter...All I would care about is the Finances ...I would take care of the cash flow which I do now with the field that he is in...and that's it...I would probably NEVER go to a bal...as I don't expect my husband to come sit in my office so why would I be at his job??? |

knowing my personality it would probably be ...FULLY INVOLVED...including keeping tabs on the finances that come in.
But then again I can be a little jealous, so I could never be involved with a musician...well unless I would be a star myself

If I were a wife of an HMI musician... CHINCHING is all I would be involved in. I'm not the jealous type( ) but do expect some unexpected local visits to certain parties

Kreola I totally agree with you! They do need a check fom time to time(surprise visits)! .
On a more serious note, sometimes the artists do need their wife/family/friends to show them love and support.

Niala- You brought a very important point... Showing Love & Support also plays a role In all seriousness, I wouldn't be able to deal w/a musician (Ti coeur'm tro faible)
