Below is a volunteer opportunity provided by Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU).
FAMUs Farmer to Farmer program is dedicated to working with emergent commercial farmers in South Africa and the Caribbean to increase farm production and farmer incomes, strengthen cooperatives and other agricultural groups and to improve agricultural and agribusiness operations.

Tropical Vegetable Production Specialist
The Tropical Vegetable Production Specialist will work for the Vegetable Co-op Development Project in Haiti.
The volunteer will assist the team with developing a booklet on information about vegetable production; provide technical assistance to 5 producer units and 20 producers; in addition to identifying relevant indicator to increase crop production.
Preferences is given to candidates who have a background in horticulture and vegetable production with some knowledge of pest management and disease control.
Position requires a 14 day commitment. Volunteer must have excellent speaking and written communication skills; cross-cultural communication skills; ability to work effectively in an international environment. The person in this position will be responsible for supporting the facilitation of knowledge transfer to commercial farmers in Haiti. No language requirement. Air travel, lodging, meals, and transportation paid by FAMU Farmer to Farmer program.

No problem. I'm not familiar with FAMU, but I applaud them for their interest and their efforts in helping to improve Haiti and other countries. They've sponsored quite a few agricultural programs in Haiti. There are other Haiti volunteer opportunities other than the one I posted.
