A white man asked his black friend, 'Are you voting for Barack Obama just because he's black?'

The black man responded by saying, 'Why not? Hell, in this country men are pulled over everyday just cause they're black; passed over for promotions just cause they're black; considered to be criminals just cause they're black; and there are going to be thousands of you who won't be voting for him just because he's black! However, you do not seem to have a problem with that! This country was built with the sweat and whip off the black slaves' back, and now a descendent of those same slaves has a chance to lead the same country, where we weren't
even considered to be people, where we weren't allowed to be educated, drink from the same water fountains, eat in the same restaurants, or even vote.

So yes! I'm going to vote for him!

But it's not just because he's black, but because he is hope, he is change, and he now allows me to understand when my grandson says that he wants to be president when he grows up, it is not a fairy tale but a short term goal. He now sees, understands and knows that he can achieve, withstand and do ANYTHING just because he's black!'

IF black people can be victimized just because they are black... it's about time our skin earned us something good for a change.

and tipouche... you may not realize it but there is a world of truth to the second part of that statement.

Even if Obama does not become president... it is still true.

In the beginning I didn't think America was ready for a black president, but maybe we're more ready than I thought.

Here they come justifying their racists ways. Now they want us to vote because he is black and using the typical I am the victim role. Problem is I am of Haitian descent, I know for a fact my ancestors fought to free themselves from the chain, so today I must not let myself be re-chained again in believing my race is the sole qualifying factor to vote.

SIRO LOVE - I agree with you !!! We just happen to have the wrong black man for president !!!!! The second paragraph yes has some truth to it..

I am just laughing at just because he is black heading and that is why JVJ, Daph, Melo RJ and the rest of the talibans are supporting Obama !!!! They are just ashamed to admit it !!!!
