HARMONIK pulled out of the FRIDAY AUGUST 29TH gig with T-VICE/CARIMI.
They stated that their reason was because of the 3 BAND FORMAT with TVICE/CARIMI.
Our question to YOU is, was it a GOOD or a BAD move?
Would the CARIMI/TVICE party have given them a major audience to showcase their talent, or is it that they would not have been the focus of attention, and would simply be an afterthought at that party?
GOOD MOVE or BAD MOVE?
What's your take?

| From what I understand, this 3 band party was due to take place at SOB's and everybody and their mamas know this venue is just not suitable for a two-band format much less three. Had it been at Irving Plaza, I would have said bad move to pull out. But SOBs, good move to pull out. |

I think it's a good move...
3 bands format at SOB'S would not work...
unless they would end it at 6am....

Another Bad Move 
Week end sa Harmonick ta suposé NY...moun sot tout koté and li te ka yon chanss pou yo konkeri anpil keu...si se pou place la good move paske sobs deja konn two piti pou yon sel djazz....but si se pou yon lot rezon BAD MOVE....Ny labor day time is great time to sell what u got..hopefully they will be there still for promotion

FUNKY although I hate to but I have to disagree with you. 
During LABOR DAY weekend, TVICE, DJAKOUT, KREOL LA, KREZI, now CARIMI always have been the "TALK OF THE TOWN" because they are carnival bands.
HARMONIK te pral pase inapercu paske focus la ap sou djazz kanaval yo.

I say good move! SOB's is just way too small for a 3 band format! Maybe they should do a guest appearance and promote their album by singing a couple of songs.

Good move se ranss pat !!
as simple as 1..2...3
Harmonick cd is not well known yet..( i personally do not have it yet) having said that..playing with band with such a caliber as carimi/t-vice would not do them any good. I'm assuming they would play 1 or second because either vice2k or carimi would close to keep the crowd there.
Let's not fool ourselves...not saying that Harmonick will not be a big band... because the potential is there but right now their followers are Nickenson prud'homme fans.....and they should not get it twisted. My biggest advice to them is to play it safe until they make a hit out of of their songs with a kick ass video...i guarantee you band sa pral cree malheur lan hmi la..all i see are talents..but play it safe.
I come to realize...unless you ahve a mega hit ( like bang bang...Kore'm...deception..bizniss pam) it's never about cds..rather about strategy...meaning playing it safe until you have solid follower.
that is truly my opinion...NO RUSH GIVE IT TIME..

gin anpil moun leu ou di labor day pou yo se bal wi..anpil moun pa koncentré sou kanaval selman...kanval is MONDAY and now we are talking abt friday saturday sunday....ou we damage harmonick te ka fe ?? i`m not saying alone but with a popular band ?? 
and mem si labor day se kanaval ki ta nan tèt mwen yo...having harmonick playing first at a bal with any popular band that will be performing on the parkway....ou pa kwè li tap bon pou yo ?? Think Twice

I would only agree with you in one way...yet it's such a big risk.
They would play solo at a small club like krezi did it..3 years ago t " jungle " where they performed solo...when t-vice..carimi...nu look was at amazura..that night I went to krezi.
If there were to play solo at a small venue..I would go...simply because i would have more fun....in a 2 bands event..switching stage would take an hour..or more.

FUNKY cherie, HARMONIK should be "THE TALK OF THE TOWN" if they decide to come to NY, otherwise it will not serve the purpose.
Djazz la ap manke fer bri...
LABORDAY weekend is too crowded. Folks have too many choices.
That is my personal opinion. Min si yo te la mwen ta pral nan SOBs kan minm..
