A well known promoter in the New York area told me over the weekend that it is NOT uncommon for some to use THREATS in order to "convince some bands" to play some dates/bals that otherwise they might have passed on. THEY DO GET PAID THEIR REGULAR FEE OF COURSE
HMI NAN TOUNIN YON FILM COWBOY.......
I guess if the bands decide not to play or ignore the threats.....HMMM

Haitians love drama and promoters are serving it to them I guess!!!!
I guess the HMI resembles the Rap game. I guess when I got to a bal I will carry my bullet proof vest.
This should also be a warning to cheap promoters who hire no security at the bals, you have been warned!!!! |

Oh yeah. That makes a lot of sense. That will truly result in positive things to come.
How about offering some perks for the bands? Why resort to threats??? _________________

I think people gonna keep making threats.. as long as promoters keep giving extra money to the bands.. to play for them.. and I also blame the bands for that to.. if you have deal with someone to play you should keep your Promise specialy if they've already pay you.. dont just cancel their party because somebody else gavefew hundred dollas extra. thats Unfair _________________ djakout renouvle pouvwa'l... djakout renouvle pouvwa'l........... gade amba'm wa we.. men kompa |

that is obvious...
if you have a bal with a certain promotor and someone else wants it they will get you to cancel otherwise you are being told that the original bal with the other promotor will not go well. _________________ La Seleção BRASILEIRA |

wow. I guess after the incident with Djakout, everything is coming to light.
Under no circumstances do promoters have the right to threaten bands who do no agree to or cannot give them a date for a bal.
Even if there have been talks of a bal with a band, in the case that a contract had not been signed and they find someone else who will give them more money, the band reserves the right to give theparty to whoever they please.
That is how a market is suppose to work. HOw else is the band suppose to play for their highest value?
In the case that a contract had already been signed, the and cannot be forced to break out of a contract through threats. Mezanmi ki bagay mafia sa yo k'ap fet nan hmi lan laa en.
What has this business turned into. Sad indeed. |
