I fell in love with that CD from the first song to the very last.....and if you did too there is a special presentation on PBS of a live performance with cuban pianist Bebo Valdez and spanish singer "El Cigala" (of their collaboration "Lagrimas Negras"--all the songs) it will air again on June 8th (this thursday so check on your local listings) and also on Friday night

Why don't you post that in the music section? It is related to Music. I enjoy Cuban music alot so hopefully I can find some time to watch it. Or hopefully it will be shown during the late late night hours!

oh tx IP I simply love that Cd!! the mix btween the cuban sound and the tzigan wow! Cigala's voice is just so full of emotion

I got too excited when I found out and posted it here  The one on Thursday is schedule for 4 AM here in Florida I am not sure for the broadcasting times where you are but check out the PBS website at http://www.pbs.org/ and do a search for your state.

Thank IP for the info! I did the search already by the way and it came up with zero results. The only thing that came up was a program called "A Trip To Cuba" with Daisy Martinez but that seems like it's a cooking show  Maybe I'll give them a call and ask!

Bebo Valdes is a legend in terms of Musica Cuba! He released so many album during his long musical career, specialy when he was part of La Orquesta Sabor De Cuba. I recommend another artist such as Compay Segundo is you like are a fan of Guaracha, Cha Cha, y Mambo... |
