We asked former ZENGLEN vocalist REGINALD CANGE what his thoughts were on the new ZENGLEN cd, as well as Kenny Desmangles' performance on the cd. This is what he told me.



REGINALD CANGE: "I haven't really heard it that much, but what I have heard has yet to reach me. Sa mwen tande yo, Li poko rive twop sou mwen. Knowing how ZENGLEN operates, they have one last card up their sleeve. The fans just need some time to consume it. Li poko rive sou P.A.P, but leu yo fe ti coup yo a, lap rive."

When we asked him about KENNY DESMANGLES and some of the criticism that he has received, this is what he said.

REGINALD: "MOUN SA YO MECHAN. YO SOU CRACK. Kenny is a danm good singer. Maybe he was not given the material that is able to make him shine in his own way with his flavor and colors. Maybe they had him in the studio singing "La La La", being fed/directed on how to sing the notes/lines to the song one by one on how he should sing it, so that they can say or call themselves "ATIS MAKER", "ZETWAL MAKER" or "SUPERSTAR MAKER", instead of just giving him the songs to learn, and letting him come in the studio to drop it like he is feeling it."

REGINALD,, I Am assuming that the same formula was used for you and Frerro as well right? But it worked for you guys , how come it's not working for T- Kenny?

I don't know what to think about regi's response.

One one hand li rekonet talan kenny...

On the other hand he had to put down richie... that's not cool.

yes the singer needs some freedom on how he sings and need to be able to apply his singing style.

But at the same time the producer can have a say on how he needs his songs to be sung.

Kenny, the 509 singer was way better than
the actual zenglen singer.

Superstar maker is a great tittle but it can be really destructive depending of how you look at it.

I personally never cared for kenny until he sang "ou fe fot".

so there goes your theory.
