For those of you who have filed the necessary applications for Press Passes, we thank you for your diligence and we are excited to see you on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the Press Conference in Orlando.

For those of you who have been contemplating attending and would like to do so under your official Media Affiliation, than please take the necessary steps to applying for your credentials before the deadline which is Sunday, June 22, 2008. You can send a personal email to MIAMedia@hotmail.com or visit our website www.orlandoindependencedayfestival.com and click on the PRESS PASS to the left of the screen for a primary application, remember to provide a valid email address so rules and regulations can be sent to you via email.

Again we thank everyone for their enthusiasm and excitement surrounding the First Annual Orlando Independence Day Kompa Festival and we share in your anticipation to ensure the success of this event.

Here’s a recap of the itinerary to date:

This Fourth of July Weekend will infuse a touch of Haitian pride as bands like Nu Look, Zin, Hangout, BelJazz, Gabel, Koudjay, CaRiMi, Djakout Mizik, T-Vice, ShowBoy, Haitian Fresh and now Krezi Mizik perform at the Orlando Citrus Bowl on Saturday, July 5, 2008.

The weekend begins on Friday, July 4th, 2008 at 6:30pm – 9pm at Club Mansion in Orlando with the Formal Press Conference, which will kick-off the weekend’s festivities in style and where media from all cities and states will gather in their semi-formal attire to welcome the bands during a Question & Answer Session. The evening continues as CaRiMi and Djakout Mizik take over Club Mansion following the Press Conference at the Official Pre-Fest Party. Saturday, July 5th, 2008, after the Festival, Krezi Mizik, alongside BelJazz and Orlando’s own Biznis will host an ALL WHITE PARTY at Club Mansion. No, the events do not end there, after parading the streets of Disney World on Sunday July 6th, join T-Vice and Nu-Look at Club Mansion in Orlando and for those whose Orlando trip ends Sunday afternoon, Multicultural Promotions & Entertainment Group have reserved a special place for you to continue the party in Miami at Marabou Café with Zin, alongside Djakout Mizik.
