"My professional and personal activities kept me running out of time, therefore i couldn't write some lines in honor of KM's eleventh anniversary.I am probably young in posting, but I was one those quiet fans who have read, rolled up and down everysingle page of this website since his foundation. Il n'est jamais trop tard pour bien faire."
It is a blind date.
You are not sure why, but something in the combination of the restaurant, the day and the mistery around her tell you to give it a try. So you try….
Right away, it seems like she was the one you have been always waiting for. You ask yourself, how I can introduce myself to “the one” who I want to spend as much as I can with. Well, you start with “ I’m Kazak-lakol, I’m from this and that”. Slowly you realize that is not enough. You want this relationship to be different so you tell more about yourself. This time, you really try to explain who you are. The lucky ones have the ability to do so right from the start, but you, like most of the people find it hard to truly convey the full picture of who you are. Not to mention the fact that some are still in the process of finding out. And we always will.
So after the waiter came , after you eat and after you paid the bill, you have to deal with the dilemma. In the blind date business we like to call it three “ S’s s”: Save yourself, Save the money and Step forward. Yes, because of her, you step forward.
“I ‘m complicated” she said, “I want you to know right from the start that a relationship with me will be everlasting , it will be made of bliss and disappointment”. And you listen, accept , think that you understand but have no idea to what you are getting yourself into. You can’t even take one breath and she has already stolen your heart. You start living together. With that, come the implications of being you at all times. It is not easy yet possible. Being with her, taught you a lot about who you are. Being with her challenged you to share what you have, what you know.
One day you wake up and she is right beside you, as real as the sun. Who would have believed that it all began in a blind date? Almost eleven years ago….
A nickname, a password and an avatar; and that‘s it! That’s you being in love with her. You look back into her eyes, and what do you see? You see moments of happiness, sadness, crises, laughter, but all about feelings. You see your life. You can’t help the thought of “why did I get into this?” but deep inside you know why. You are addicted. But she is part of you and you are part of her. She will be carried with you no matter where you go, no matter what you do. Because of her you become a hero. You marry an eleven-year-old Haitian girl and no one in this world dares accuse you of Pedophilia.
Happy 11th anniversary KM!
