We spoke to TI JOE this morning about the group's new format and how he felt after the SPECIAL JAM SESSION on Saturday. Read what he had to say below.
*TI JOE: "LI JUST ANRAGER man. It's awesome. Mwen pran feeling sou stage la. It's incredible, on that stage I was on cloud nine. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING was that the people that were there liked what they heard. I can't say that we sound perfect, but little by little, we will get to where we want to be. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING also is that COULEUR JAZ LA PA CHANGER."
*We asked TI JOE, what were his 2 FAVORITE SONGS IN THE NEW FORMAT, he told us "PRE-SANTIMAN" and "VIKTWA". "We have a new way that we play VIKTWA now, it's crazy."
*We asked TI JOE if there is anything that he does NOT like with the new format. This is what he told us below
TI JOE " I don't like the way that we play the carnaval LIVE without the MPC. I prefer playing the carnaval WITH the MPC. So what I think we might do is have 2 setups ready. We play LIVE, and just for the carnaval, we will use the MPC, just like most of the real LIVE bands that are in the business. Apart from that, everything is extremely good."
*TI JOE added this "I wanted to say a big thank you to the staff management of the group. The same for the BAN DEYE, as well as the people that came out at the last minute to support us. You don't understand, this was just supposed to be a JAM SESSION, and at the last minute we changed it to this special event. THAT PROVES TO ME that the band has a lot of fans behind it. Sa prouver ke nou gin anpil fanatik."
*TI JOE also told us that his buddy SHABBA told him that he was worried that KREYOL LA was going to lose its identity, but after listening to the group on Saturday, SHABBA gave him his approval.

can't wait to hear it ... or see it.... so i'm looking forward to that . still don't like the 2 keys ..but willing to give a chance till i hear it...thanks for the update.

I'd like to hear that new formula from Kreyol la... I'll keep my eyes open so when they are in town, I can catch them.

What I heard on Saturday was good. Keep rehearsing and if you feel that the MPC ahould be kept for Carnaval WHY NOT/
The band should do what is best for them.
