The FIRST FOUR MONTHS of 2008 are done and over with for the HMI. If we were keeping score, and wanted to ask YOU to give your REPORT CARDS to the HMI bands in the business, perhaps the top, WHICH BANDS WOULD BE AT THE TOP OF YOUR LIST and WHY?

You can judge them on their HOTNESS in terms of BAL ATTENDANCE, POSITIVE NEWS, NEGATIVE NEWS, HANDLING OF CRISIS, EXPOSURE/MARKETING THEIR BRAND, CHALLENGES THAT THEY'VE SUCCEEDED IN ACCOMPLISHING or NOT...

If you were to grade the TOP 3 HMI BANDS "SO FAR" for the first 4 months of 2008 (ONLY 2008)

NAME THEM and write a little note next to each band.
EXAMPLE BELOW

1) BAND "A": They did .......

2) BAND "B": I was amazed by.....

3) BAND "C": The only reason they......

Thanks

KREYOL LA, TVICE, CARIMI, DJAKOUT, ZENGLEN, NU LOOK, GABEL, ZIN, HANGOUT, or whoever.......

JUST KEEP IN MIND....Your reputations might be at stake, so any BOGUS report cards won't help.

KM!

Bon men Review pa mwen

Djakout = Mwen pa konnen strateji yo et mwen pa men'm si ke yo gen yon strateji. Samble depi le yo fi'n fe MTV ya pou 1 Janvye neg yo satisfe pou tout res ane ya. 4/10

T-Vice = Neg yo komance avek yon monemto'm e wou we yo kembe monemto'm yo. Bel Strateji. Se Gere yo ap Gere Biznis yo. Yon bel kout chapo pou management. 8/10

Carimi = Was the sleeper. Ampil mounn te domi sou djazz sa. Neg yo samble se pa fomil k-naval la selman yo jwen'n non. Paske tout kote yo pace yo ap ba'w pwoblem. 9/10

Kreyol la = Neg samble yo te pedi steam apre k-naval. Ko'm yo ap regroupe. Yo bezwen pou fini res ane ya avek yon fos. 6/10

DJAKOUT MIZIK : i don't care what people say, that band is kicking ass toute kote yo pase, they are still the number one band in the hmi(in all aspect of it except for the management) despite having a very bad album(like the so called konpa connaisseur said wich is completly b.s to me) just check out the bands performances....thats all am gonna say about that.

CARIMI : that band got the worst album out there, theres no doubt about it
that soft ass r&b konpa is not my thing, having said that them boys pull it off big time in the live circuit the manage to make that album work for them and when they perform they bring you a show, gotta give it to carimi
they've been hot for a minute ak yon vie album Laughing

NU LOOK : all i gotta say is ARLY LARIVIERE is a musical genius, nu look is at its peek right now with that new album plus they are playing a really tight konpa direct.

Carimi... se yonn nan djazz mwen pa ka tolere... men rayi chyen an di dan'l blan... tout kote neg yo pase se baton... neg si telma malelvé... yo alé nan teritwa lòt djazz yo fè dezòd.. can I say Florida?

T-vice... this band is hot like fire... even though the band is cooling down slowly (transition period between albums release) they pack houses every night... and T-vice is the only band that does not have a weak market... it does not matter, europe, antilles, america baton...

Nu-look... after the release of abò, this band is the most wanted band in the hmi... the only reason they not at the top of my list is because they are really weak on some market... but Nu-look is on all time high in demand...

HONORABLE MENTION...

kreyol la... after being deceiving year of 2007... the group is taking another road... they letting their work and the fans do the talking.. and they look like they mean bizniss... I really feel like the group next album could make or brake the band.. but anyway something big is in the work for kreyol la... m'ap swiv...

you're trashing carimi's album while you're upset that others are trashing djakout's.. in my opinion they both garbage Laughing Laughing Laughing
and to say that djakout is still the at the top of HMI is like saying system band is still the ISH Razz Razz

You got to be kidding me Pat asked you to grade your band for the first 4 months not how they play once and a while, as much as i like djakout musically there is no way you can seat here and tell me they have been doing good in the last 4 months, fanatik malade se gro coze

My report card is based on bands that need to improve in certain areas.

Zenglen: When Reginald and Frero quit the band, I thought they learned something from they way things went down. I thought they were done with the drama (they did for while). But Dano changed all that with all his allegations. Please Zenglen make an effort and treat your employees better.

Krezi Mizik: After the stunt that T-Roos pulled at LNDJ, there was no reason to keep him in the band. It looked like you guys had already moved on with Black Easy. In my opinion, it looks bad for the band to tolerate such behavior. Please be more strick with your disciplinary actions. You should have made an example out of him.

Nu-Look: After LaPorte left there has been too many speculations on who will fill the void. There were talks about Santana, talks about LaPorte returning, and now Ralph Conde is playing gigs. Please make a decision, either stick with the guy who is there now or sign someone else.

Mwen p'ap bay report card but these are thebands that I think are doing well right now..

T-VICE, CARIMI, NU LOOK.

The fact that NU LOOK just dropped a new album helped them out big time.

Krezi seems to have cooled dow after canaval... I don't know maybe it's just my perception. Hopefully the little dramas were just bumps on the road.

KREYOL LA seems to have been havingmore positive buzz lately. Keep it up.
