A country's greatest resource is its education. Japan is a country that has almost zero natural resources, yet Japan is one of the most advanced countries in the world.
We can sit and write about how great the school system is in Haiti, but what do we have to show for it?
We haven't even been able to turn our farming from arid to fertile, yet we're claiming to be more intelligent than others.
We can't even provide electricity 24/hrs a day, yet we're bragging about how well we know the sciences.
We can't put our political differences aside for the betterment of the country, yet we're claiming that we are educated people.

When Haiti acquires a school system that works, it will be obvious to the world.

Cuba is one of the countries with the least amount of illiterate people in the Carribean and possibly South America (Not sure of the exact #s)...Yet Cuba is so behind on so many fronts....

The bottom line is, there is more to the story than just education when it comes to Haiti.

@LJB - however, Cuba is a socialist country, had it been not, I promise you it would've been so over developed now...

Miziklakay,
I purposely wrote the post in second grade level to accomodate certain people. I am glad it worked. Thanks
